She just wants to believe she's beautiful ,
Even when they try to cover up her imperfections,
She wants to embrace her body,
But they give her a diet to follow,
She dreams of being a covergirl ,
So she starves ,
"Beauty is pain . A little of it is necessary" She says,
Her eyes are blinded,
"The surface that sparkles is the true gem " Is what she now believed ,
She covers up her pain in layers of foundation,
And misty fumes that make her dizzy,
At times, she rejects,
Her misled mind replies, "You don't want to look like a troll , do you?"
Her mirror is stained ,
For she can't see the true beauty in her,
Of what she is , it's more than just a beautiful face ,
She should replace the mirror ,
To see clearer ,
She should remove the blindfold,
To realize ,
She has scars, wounds and imperfections ,
Yet , she is beautiful .
