I slowly opened my eyes, the moon was up meaning that I have been asleep all day. I yawned as I rolled over, it felt nice laying here but I knew I had to get up and face the world. I slowly sat up and looked around the room and I noticed that Kaden was gone.

I was about to call for him whenever I saw a pair of neon green eyes staring at me from the shadows of the room. "Everything you love will perish you pathtic mistake." The distorted voice from my dream said darkly from inside my head making me jump. I'm imaging things now, great I'm going crazy.

I though about what Aqua is doing right now. Hopefully she doesn't think I'm dead. I kind of miss her because she was only friend for a year but I have to save her and everyone else in that place. I guess that means it's time for me to be the hero.

I got out the warm bed and stretched. The neon green eyes still stared at me as I walked over to the other side of the room. I felt something jump onto my back whenever I went to look out the window. "Yaaaa!" I yelled while reaching my hand towards my back, I felt something fluffy hit my hand.

"Clam down Mr. Kaden's daughter!" I small voice squeaked out. "I'm not gonna hurt ya, I'm just trying to tell ya that Mr. Kaden will be back later." Whatever the thing was jumped off my back.

I looked at the creature, he had a slender body, bushy squirrel tail, a chipmunk like face, and large ears. His pelt was an electric blue with an orange muzzel, orange ear tips, and orange stripes going down his back all the way down to the tip of his tail. This was a creature known as a squatole and from what I've heard their very rare. So now the question is, how the heck did my father get one of these rare rodents?

"Uh sorry." I said while looking into his neon green eyes. I was just imagining the voice that told me everything I love would perish, I knew it. I smirked slightly because I was happy to know that I wasn't going crazy.

"It's fine." The squatole said while swishing his tail slightly. "So what is your name exactly?" He asked while jumping onto the window seal. "I don't feel like calling you Mr. Kaden's daughter every time time I need you."

"The names Mindi." I said while looking at blue ball of fur. "Do you have a name?" I asked while casting my gaze towards the silver moon that shone high above in the sky. "Or am I just gonna have to call ball of fur?" Said ball of fur reminded me of the nickname Ratchet gave me many years ago, he used to call me fuzzball because when I was younger my fur was very soft and fluffy.

I saw the squatole nod slightly out the corner of my eye. "The names Ace." His tone was calm and collective as he jumped down form the window seal. "It's nice to met you, Mindi."

I gave a nod in agreement as I said. "It's nice to met you too." It felt nice not feeling alone for the first time in my life.
