Adriana's Pov
The rest of the week past quite quickly. We spent lots of time working on our 3000 word essay you could call it. For me it's not an essay, essays are boring and this is not boring what so ever.I'm well over 3000 words by now and I'm just at at the part when I or Ella in my book meet the Pevensie's / Richardson's for the first time.
It is Saturday morning and I hear birds chirping outside. It's a great way to wake up, and the bright morning sun fills my room with natural light. I sit in my bed for a while, just enjoying the peacefulness.
I then get up and change into some clothes. I put on my blue trench coat, blue little hat to match and I slip on my brown little boots and walk out the door. It's a crisp autumn morning and the leaves are just starting to change from green to beautiful colours like red, orange and yellow. I stop and look around, the beautiful blue sky and perfect clouds, the trees starting to change colour, just the admiring the beauty of nature. As I got older I've learned to enjoy the nature around me. I used to just pass by things without taking a glance. But if you look, you can find something beautiful.
I then turn around and next thing I know I'm on the ground. "Oh my goodness I'm sorry dear" I hear a woman say, I look up and it's a middle aged woman with her dog.
"I'm terribly sorry, Molly is not well trained yet" she says referring to her dog, "oh it's alright I'm fine" I assure her.
"Are you alright?" I ask the dog, "I'm sorry I didn't see you" I say.
Then I remember. I'm not in Narnia. The dog can't talk. I awkwardly stand up and dust myself off. "Are you sure you're alright?" The woman asks again, "yes, I'm absolutely fine" I assure her again.
We walk our separate ways and I take a deep breath. I hope the woman didn't find it odd I was talking to her dog. I know I would be concerned if I never knew about Narnia and a random girl tripped over my dog and started apologizing to it.
I take that weird thought out of my head and walk around the corner and into my favourite Café. I go here every Saturday morning and a couple times throughout the week. And every time I come, the same man is in the same seat and has a blueberry muffin and mug of coffee and reads the paper. I only know what he eats because I've sat near him a few times and it's the same. He likes the seat in the corner with a table that seats four, but it's only him.
"Ahh Adriana love back again" Harold — the owner of the café — smiles, "hello Harold" I smile back.
"Go sit down, will it be the pancakes or French toast today?" He asks, he knows for breakfast I either get pancakes or French toast. "I think I'll go with pancakes today" I smile and he nods and walk through the kitchen doors.
I pick a seat not too far from the man. I don't have a regular seat like he does, but I do sit in a general area.
I pull out my notebook and start to write some of my adventures in Narnia. "Pancakes for you love" he says and places the plate on the table, "thank you! They look amazing" I smile.
"What's this here?" Harold asks pointing to my notebook, "oh it's a project for my class" I answer.
Harold is like a grandfather you could say. He's a lovely man, great cook, a genuinely nice man. His wife Anne is lovely too. I've known them since I moved here. They live around the block from me. "It's a story I made up" I smile, "it's about a girl and 2 brothers and 2 sisters who travel to a magical world and become great friends and find love and they defeat evil together."
