I woke up and yawned groggily. I was still in the room and my arms were sore, bruised badly. It was dark except for a lantern that was slowly burning and next to that there was a note. I sat up and grabbed the note. The paper was thick and felt rough on my fingers. The writing on the paper was in a delicate script that was thin and curvy. This was the paper we used in the palace, I so longed for home.

"Dear Miss,

I want to explain what happened last night and what will happen in the future. We came into your harbor late at night. We attacked your city and when we got to the village with the palace where you're from, some drunken men of my crew burned it down, all down. We heard screams and shouts of the villagers as they were burned to death. I'm sorry about it, but there is nothing we can do now, can we? So I have a proposal for ya. You have one heck of a feisty spirit and with your knowledge of the kingdom and your fiery soul, I think you would make a nice addition to my crew. I'll give you a few days to think about it. As for now, Ocedan will be by in a bit to take you to your room.

Sincerely William Curtail, Captain."

I crumpled the note in my hands. How can they do this? I am the princess, the rightful heir to the throne of the kingdom, though they may not know that I am the princess yet. I'm pretty sure if they figured out I would be sold as a prize or thrown overboard. I released my grip when I felt something warm and smooth run down my arm. I looked at it and saw that my nails pierced the skin of my palm. I silently cursed to myself, as I stood up I grabbed the lantern, taking a good look around the small cramped room. There were shelves on both sides and mostly it was filled with cleaning supplies. "Great a storage closet," I muttered under my breath. I looked on the shelves for something to keep me warm and bandages but I didn't find any blankets, only mildew towels and one clean rag. "It'll have to do, beats freezing to death and getting an infection." I went to the corner, closest to the door for warmth and covered myself with the towel. I ripped the rag into strips. I wrapped my palm around the best of my ability, yawned, and fell asleep waiting for my faith to come true.

I woke again in a new room. I sat straight up and was in awe. Feeling my hand I looked down and saw that it was neatly wrapped in a new clean bandage. "Wow, so they kidnapped me and decide to treat my wounds too." I looked around, the room was so beautiful. I guess that Ocedan brought me here. I shuddered at the thought. I was in a lush queen size canopy bed with silk sheets and feather pillows. On each side of the bed was a nightstand with a lamp. On the right one, there were my glasses and my watch, my fathers watch.  I put on my glasses and looked around. Directly to my right was a door. As got out of the bed and I noticed that I was in a silk nightgown with lace on the neckline. "How did I get in this?" I pondered this and came to the realization that someone must have changed me. 'Please tell me Ocedan did not change me.' I groaned and I walked to the door and opened it. There was a stand-in shower and toilet and a sink. "A bathroom?" I looked around the medicine cabinet had Tylenol, moisturizer, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush etc. And underneath the sink was towels and a small garbage can.

I walked out and looked to my right. There in the corner, was a wooden desk stocked with pens and journals and all of the necessary materials for writing. In the other corner was a love seat with a coffee table and on that was a laptop. Behind that was a giant bookshelf filled with books. The top three shelves had many books of my favorite series and the bottom shelf had movies I loved. And in the upper right corner of the room was another door. I walk to it and opened it and found dresses hung up and shoes on the floor, leggings, jeans, blouses and fortunately sweaters.

I took a shower to calm my mind and got dressed in a robin egg blue dress. When I came out of the closet I found a plate of fresh hash browns, eggs and toast. My stomach growl and I finally noticed how hungry I was. I did not want to be poisoned or knocked out by drugs so I didn't eat. My stomach begged but nope. I grabbed one of the journals and started to write.

Last night I was brought aboard a mysterious ship with nothing but a torn dress. As I was coming back into consensuses I overheard some of the crewmen talking about me. They found me black and blue and with my dress torn by David my fiancé. David came from Spain and I was being forced to marry him, me being the first for the throne in France. I am the first born to the king of France, Thomas Reuther Smith. David was too harsh and I had to put on a brave face in front of the court. My parents and siblings didn't know that he beat me, I hide it well. But back to the subject. Some of the men were talking about how good my blood smelled? And the other who goes by Ocedan was trying to protect me from being drained of blood? I don't know what it means but I'm pretty sure I'll find out, sooner or later. For now, her highness, Claire Grace Smith.

P.s. The Captain wants me to become a part of his crew but I'm not sure whether I should say yes or no? All I know is that I'm going to put up a fight when I see that sick bastard, Jackson.

I got really tired and flopped down on the bed not caring about my appearance and fell asleep in a matter of minutes.
