May 14 8:00am

"No Jack I already said I wouldn't." I yelled across the room at him.

"Why not? Captain's orders."

"NO!!!!!" We argued back and forth for roughly ten minutes until the Captain barged in.

"What is so important that you have to yell at the top of your lungs? The whole crew is up because of you."

Jack turned to the Captain "Claire won't learn how to shoot a gun!" Jack yelled. I glared at him and I yelled back

"I like to see the reactions in the eyes of my opponents."

"Calm down both of you!" the Captain bellowed. He turned to me "Claire you have to learn how to handle a gun."

"But-"

"I don't want to hear it." I wanted to tell him that I already learned to shoot a gun, guess he'll figure out the hard way. I started to talk again but he didn't want to hear it.

"Fine but I spar both of you afterwards?"

"Sure Claire." We went up to the deck and Jack started to set up some targets. The Captain came over to show me how to handle and load the gun but I brushed him off. I loaded fast and Jack moved out of the way. I shot and got three bull's-eyes.

The crew started to come up now because they heard gunshots. As I loaded again I told Jack and the Captain a story. "I've had quite a few guns pulled on me before. On time by David, he was so enraged with me and he pulled a gun on my saying that if I didn't do what he said he would shoot. I stared him in the eye and he put the gun down." I shot, this time a little off the target. "Another man broke in and pulled a gun on my family saying that if I would go with him no fighting he would let my family go. I walked straight up to him, smiled kindly and kicked him hard in the balls. I kept on kicking him while he was down, swearing that if he hurt my family I would hunt him down and kill him. The whole time he was clutching his crotch." The crew laughed and I grabbed a bigger gun loaded and shot.

"The boys in town once called me a woos when I was twelve. I looked them in the eye the whole time I beat them to a pulp. All the boys my age or around my age fear me, knowing that if they pizz me off they'd better run for their goddamn lives." I put the gun on my shoulder and everyone grew silent. I still looked at the targets.

"I am also good at lashing out with words of fire that will burn your soul," I turned around "They call me the She-devil." They looked to me then the gun. I turned to the Captain. "As I was trying to say before, I already learned to shoot a gun so you didn't have to teach me." I drew my sword and started to spar him.

I was winning but then Jack had to join in. Two against one and I still beat them. They went to go rest and a brave fellow stood up and hopped onto the deck. I beat him to a pulp and then Jack stood up again. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded and started. We spent over half the day like this, me fighting most of the crew in groups of ones, twos, and threes. I never got tired. It was like I was born to fight.
