A fog came in as we approached the ship. It was still, like it was waiting for the attack or something. I went up to the rail and looked at the ship. It was then I realized it was a ship of my old navy. The Anne-Marine the best ship to set sail in these waters. She has double the firepower that our ship. I ran up to the Captain.
"Captain! This ship is the grand Anne-Marine. We need to be careful. She has double to triple the firepower than we have." He looked to me then shouted orders to the crew.
Jack came behind me, "I want you to stay near me Claire. I don't want you to get hurt."
"I can handle myself you know. I'm not some spoiled little princess." He turned me around to face him.
"I know that but sometimes you can be a bit reckless. I love you and I don't want you to get hurt."
"I know that but I have a feeling that someone is on this ship that I need to be careful of." He looked down. I could tell he was fighting on the inside. I put my hand on his cheek and brought his eyes to look at mine. "Hey I am right here, don't worry I'll be okay and if I need you I'll yell. Right now we need to go though." He nodded then grabbed my waist pulling me into a deep kiss. That kiss said many things, from worry to lust. The Captain shouted "Fire!!!" Then it all started.
There was the sound of a cannons fire and then the splintering of wood. There were shouts and cries from men. Our crew started to swing over to the other ship. Jack grabbed my waist and we swung over. We landed on the upper deck. We were surrounded, us being back to back. It was an easy fight. I looked up to the wheel and saw the person I'd least expect, my supposedly dead fiancé, David.
