The Princess And The Vampirate

Chapter Ten

May 13 1:00 am

I woke up screaming really loud. Jack shot straight up and was at the door looking out, ready to attack with his sword in hand.

"What is it? Claire!?" I was shivering and my head was between my knees and I was crying my eyes out. He came over to me and rubbed my back. I cried then he got me to speak.

"It was a new nightmare. You gave me a rose and you were sweet. Then you bit me and more vampires came and bite me. Then you threw me onto the deck and I just slowly bleed to death. It was slow but when I was about to die you came back and said 'You loved me.' I was so confused and I was scared that you would hurt me more." I stared at him as he rubbed a tear off of my cheek.

"It's alright Claire. I'm here and I'm not going to hurt you. The nightmares will not scare you anymore. Now go back to sleep." I nodded and laid my head down on the pillows.

"Why are you even here? Shouldn't you be in you quarters?"

"Yes but I didn't want to leave when you were having nightmares." He grabbed my waist and humming a lullaby and I turned around and kissed him. I pulled away and sighed. Jack was shocked and paused for a bit then rushed forward and kissed me with a lot of force and passion. His hand were in my hair and mine were on his chest. I was out of breath and Jack just kept kissing. I pulled away a bit and he growled at me. "Come on Claire. Why can't I kiss you?"

"One, I NEED TO BREATHE, I'm HUMAN. And two, you are going way too fast. Can't we just sleep?" He sighed and then his lips were on mine only for a second and then his arms holding me close singing a sweet lullaby, my lullaby, I laid my head on his chest and fell asleep.

I woke up and I saw Jack staring at me. He then threw a book to the floor and kissed me lightly and then hard. I groaned and I clutched my stomach. "I'm so hungry!" Jack got up and grabbed something.

"Already ahead of you." He handed me a tray with pancakes and strawberries. I thanked him and immediately began eating. "I have been given orders to tell you about my life and then for you to tell me about yours. I have no idea why though." I nodded and he began.
