*GilesPOV*

Iwatched as the children gathered around the dread machine, looking atcity plans. I couldn't help but watch Narcissa as she bent over tolook over Willow's shoulder. It's wrong I know, but I can't help butfeel attraction towards her. It's not as if I'm the only man to tolook. I caught quite a few male students looking, even one or twofaculty members. Her powers are amazing, I've never heard of a witchwith more than three active abilities before. Then again I've nevermet a witch whose entire family is made up of witches and warlocks.

"Thereit is." I heard Narcissa exclaim as she pointed at the monitor
"That runs under the graveyard." Willow said
"I don'tsee any access." Xander shook his head
"So, all the cityplans are just, uh, open to the public?" I asked polishing myglasses
"Um, well, i-in a way. I sort of stumbled onto themwhen I accidentally decrypted the city council's security system."Willow explained nervously
"Someone's been naughty." Xandersmirked
"There's nothing here, this is useless!" Buffyexclaimed, running a hand through her hair
"I think you'rebeing a bit hard on yourself." I told her
"You're the onethat told me that I wasn't prepared enough. Understatement!" sheexhaled "I thought I was on top of everything, and then thatmonster, Luke, came out of nowhere..." Buffy trailed off, her browfurrowing.
"What?" Narcissa asked
"He didn't come outof nowhere. He came from behind me. I was facing the entrance, hecame from behind me, and he didn't follow me out. The access to thetunnels is in the mausoleum! The girl must have doubled back withJesse after I got out! God! I am so mentally challenged!" Buffygripped her head
"So, what's the plan? We saddle up, right?"Xander asked determined
"There's no 'we', okay? I'm the Slayer,and you're not." Buffy told them
"I knew you'd throw thatback in my face." Xander sighed
"Yeah, well I'm a witch. Ivknown about vampires since before you knew about slayers." Narcissasaid smirking
"So I'm going and you can't stop me"
"Cissa,this is deeply dangerous." Buffy told her
"And I'm a reallypowerful witch. I can hold my own" Narcissa glared
"I'minadequate. That's fine. I'm less than a man. Xander said
"Buffy,I'm not anxious to go into a dark place full of monsters. But I dowant to help. I need to." Willow said
"Well, then help me."I said making them look at me "I've been researching this Harvestaffair. It seems to be some sort of preordained massacre. Rivers ofblood, Hell on Earth, quite charmless. I'm a bit fuzzy, however, onthe details. It may be that you can wrest some information from thatdread machine." I paused when they all looked at me. Though Iflushed when I caught Narcissa's eyes, there always seems to behunger or desire in them. "That was a bit, um, British, wasn't it?"
"Welcome to the New World." Buffy smiled I smiled backhesitantly and turned to Willow "I want you to go on the 'Net."
"Oh, sure, I can do that." Willow said as she began to type
"Then I'm outta here. If Jesse's alive, I'll bring him back."Buffy stood, as did Narcissa
"Do I have to tell you to becareful?" I asked them Buffy turned and gave me a look, along withNarcissa who winked afterwords. They left the Library, the doorswinging shut.

*Narcissa'sPOV*
Buffyand I made our way to gate, but we were stopped by Principle Flutie
"And where do we think we're going?" he asked us
"We?"Buffy turned to face him "We..."
"We're not leavingschool grounds, are we?" he raised an eyebrow and looked at me. Iwaved smiling slightly, Wishing so badly that I had my Cousins mindcontrol power
"No! No, We're... just admiring the fence. Youknow, this is quality fence work." I told him nudging Buffy whonodded "Because if we were leaving schools grounds on our secondday at a new school, after getting kicked out of our old school fordelinquent behaviour... Do you see where I'm going with this?"Flutie asked
"Mr. Giles..." Buffy said quickly I shot her alook, she's going to get Giles in trouble
"What?" Flutieasked
"He asked us to get a book for him. Uh, from the store,'cause we have a free period, and I'm a big reader. Did it mentionthat in my transcripts?"
"Mr. Giles?" Flutie asked again
"Ask him." Buffy shrugged
Mr. Flutie stepped in front ofthe gate and closed it
"Well, maybe that's how they do thingsin Britain,they've got that royal family and all kinds of problems," he lockedit "but here at Sunnydale nobody leaves campus while school's insession. Are we clear?"
"We're clear." Buffy said while Ilooked at my nails
"That's the Buffy Summers I want in myschool. Sensible girl with her feet on the ground!" he looked at me"Narcissa Darkmore, you have good grades. Don't mess up now" heturned and left. Buffy and I watched him go before she leapt over thegate.
I looked around me before smoking beside and we made ourway to the graveyard.

Buffyand I slowly made our way into the mausoleum, we scanned the room.There was on one there, but a rat that scurried across the floor. Welooked for the entrance to the tunnel, when we found it it waslocked. I lifted the lock as someone exhaled behind us. We spunaround quickly to find a hansom guy with brown hair behind us

"Idon't suppose you've got a key on you?" Buffy asked
"Theyreally don't like me dropping in. Who's your friend?" he askedlooking at me
"Narcissa Darkmore." I smirked
"Why not?"Buffy asked
"They really don't like me." the guy said
"Whynot? Good looking guy like you" I flirted. I could feel Buffy'sstare on me and shrugged. It's not like she had a claim on him.
"Iknew you'd figure out this entryway sooner or later. Actually, Ithought it was gonna be a littlesooner."he shrugged
"Sorry you had to wait." Buffy exhaled "Okay.Look, if you're gonna be popping up with this Cryptic Wise Man act ona regular basis, can you at least tell me your name?"
"Angel."he said
"Angel. It's a pretty name." Buffy complimented as weturned back to the tunnel
"Don't... go down there." Angelwarned
"Deal with our going." I told him
"You shouldn'tbe putting yourself at risk. Tonight is the Harvest. Unless you canprevent it, the Master walks." Angel told us
"Well, if thisHarvest thing is such a suckfest, why don't youstop it?" Buffy asked
"'Cause I'm afraid." Angel saidmaking me look at him in surprise.
We turned back to the tunneland Buffy kicked the door open
"They'll be expecting you." hetold us
"I've got a friend down there. Or at least a potentialfriend. Do you know what it's like to have a friend?" Buffy snarkedmaking me glare at her
Angel looked down with sadness in hiseyes, making me feel sorry for him
"That wasn't supposed to bea stumper." Buffy smiled nervously
I rolled my eyes as theycontinued to stare at each other
"When you hit the tunnels headeast towards the school. That's where you're likely to find them."Angel informed us "You gonna wish us luck?" I asked, smirking asI began into the tunnel. I heard Buffy follow me and I heard Angelwhisper
"Good luck!"
