Forbidden Love

Chapter 16

Kiera pov:

This day couldn't be more beautiful. After spending some mommy and me time with my daughter I left her in the capable hands of Lisa beautiful 15 year old daughter Alivia to help with the party.

When I entered the kitchen there were several women bustling about cooking ,choping, stirring and baking.

"Hi everyone, how can I help?" I ask looking for Lisa.

She walks up behind me and touch my shoulder. Man how does she do that. I never here her coming.

"Hi, Sure ,you can start packing the food and juices on this table and stack them on the back porch. One of the guys will take it where it needs to be. Okay?" Lisa said pointing to a table with massive piles of covered food.

I nod and start before I knew it time has past and half the table was empty.

Whenever I drop off a box when I go back with another the first one is already gone.

When I finally cleared the table Alivia came in and said Kaila was sleeping.

When I make it back to the same table I emptied a few minutes ago was piled high again. Who are we feeding the entire town.

The look on my face had Alivia explaining "I know its a lot but we have a big family and everybody wants to see our new edition."

"Okay back to work then"

With Alivia helping me the time was cut in halve. How she could carry three boxes to my one is a mystery the boxes are pretty heavy.

With the prep work done I checked on Kaila. She's still napping. I decide to take a bath after deciding on what to wear which wasn't too hard I don't have much so I can leave easy if need be.

The water in the tub is perfect settling back I begin to wonder if me and Kaila are really safe. I know Lisa said we are safe but I know Ethan is looking for his daughter. I didn't give up and I know he won't either.

Coming to the decision not to make friends and to keep to myself just in case I have to leave unexpectedly, no one will know where I'm going and won't look for me, I bathe and get out.

When I enter the room Kaila is stirring. I wrap the towel tighter and pick out one of the many outfit Lisa and the neighbors has brought Kaila.

I finish dressing in a pair of jeans and white tee and my new Nike's I brought with my first days tips from the restaurant, when Kaila woke up. I picked her up and kissed her head and bathe and dressed her.

When I finished feeding her Lisa knocks on the door.

"You girls ready?"

"Yeah lets go." I say grabbing Kaila diaper bag.

"Here give her to me. Today I want you to have fun. Don't worry know one will bother you or take Kaila from you. So you relax and enjoy yourself, okay." she said in a tone that asked for no argument.

"Okay" I said why not take this day who knows when we have to leave.

When we entered the back yard it was filled with people I never saw before. I begin to worry, I reach for Kaila and pull her near incase we have to bolt.

Lisa puts her hand on my shoulder and say "its okay, no one will hurt either of you here, okay.

Reluctantly I nod but keep Kaila close.

Soon Alivia walked up and reached for Kaila. With much hesitation I give her to Alivia and they walk over to the crowd of teenager that is always around the neighborhood doing thing teenagers usually do.
