"Hey dude, can you watch my house this Saturday until my mom comes to pick up some packages from me?" My friend asked me as he flashed his puppy dog eyes.
"I don't know, walking up here to your house is a major pain." I groaned. The summer heat was also really getting to me, and he wants me to do this shit?
"Come on now!" He nudges me.
"Eh?" I scratched the back of my head, and looked around. He lived pretty close to a university, so I always notice people roaming the area. Mostly college students.
"If you do, I will treat you to a BBQ at my place." He winks.
"May-"
"BBQ?" Two guys came to us. Of course it was two of my dorky friends that went to the college.
"Let us go too! We can bring the meat!" One of them said excitingly.
"I didn't said I would invite you guys." He rolls his eyes. "I guess you can come too."
"Woohoo!" One cheered.
I guess this could be fun. Doesn't seem like a bad idea, and free food.

Saturday rolled around. I was waiting for the delivery man to come. I decided to be generous, and chip in to the meat varieties we can have. Now I just have to wait for the delivery man, and my friends.
I saw a shadow outside my door. Must be him. I went to approach the door, when it suddenly began rocking profusely. Why was the delivery man trying to get in? The knob was dancing with madness, and the door wouldn't stop shaking. It was as if he was trying to break in. I slowly backed away from the door. I saw the shadow move away to its right, and the door stopped rumbling.
I ran towards the door, and opened it quickly. The person was gone. I looked to my left which was his right. There was nothing, but a ledge there. Did he jump?! I quickly looked down the ledge, and didn't see a splattered body. The hell was that?
"Hey."
"Ah!" I screamed, and saw my three goon friends with their BBQ food.
"Dude, you okay?" One of them asked me.
"Yeah I just...there was this guy shaking my door, trying to get in. I wanted to approach, but he ran to his right. It's just weird because the right has no path, and it's just a balcony ledge." I was itching my head. Was I losing it?
"Dude maybe you didn't sleep well. Or maybe he was Spider Man." My other friend joked.
"Yeah maybe. Well come in." I decided to let the subject go.
They came in, and I closed the door. Before I could shut the door completely, a dark figure rushed to the crack.
"Ahhh!" I screamed.
"Are you okay sir?" It was the delivery man. Am I getting delusional?
"Sorry." I gathered myself together to pay the man.
My friends all stared at me like I was crazy. I just laughed it off.

We played cards, and chatted about life for hours. I ate so much that my stomach began to ache.
"Damn that was good. I'm full!" One of my friends said.
"Me too." I replied. "Hadn't ate like that in years. Thanks guys."
"No problem dude!"
~~~~~~
That night we passed out on the same king sized bed. I slept on the far left so I could access the bathroom better. I had a weak bladder to begin with so they all said whatever, and gave me the edge.
I heard a noise that woke me up. Sounded like a shuffling noise. I woke up, and rub my eyes.
I gasped as I saw a shadowy figure in front of me. He looked like he was wearing a Sherlock Holmes coat. My heart began thumping. That could be the same guy that was at my door. A ghost maybe?
My hands began trembling as my hand began shaking the person to my left. "Dude wake up, I think there is a ghost." I whispered.
"It's just the coat that I brought." A voice replied.
"Oh." My eyes finally adjusted to the dark, and I had realized it was just a coat on the rack. My nerves began calming down, and I fell back asleep.
~~~~~~
The next morning we all woke up later than expected.
"God damn it, I should of set an alarm." One of my friends groaned.
"Oh well. Hurry up, and get ready."
"Hold up. Let me tie my shoes." I replied. "Last night got me so startled that I couldn't sleep." I stood up, and went towards the door. "Which one of you wore that coat here anyway?" I asked.
"Coat? In this weather? It's summer, and hot as hell." A friend replied.
"But..." I turned around to see the coat still on the rack. My eyes widened. Last night I slept on the far left, and I had remembered that I shook someone to my left, and spoke to someone on my left. However, there should be no one to my left!
I then noticed a shadowy figure flickering next to the coat with a grin!
