Timothy's POV
"Harmony." Was all I could say. I looked at her, she hasn't changed a bit: Brown hair but you can see she dyed some parts red. Her deep chocolate brown eyes you will always get lost in. Her skin is lighter than before. She's wearing a purple blouse with some skinny jeans and a pair of black converse.
"What are you doing out here?" She asks me.
"Well I-I work a block down I was just getting coffee." Studdering my words out of shock. Well can you blame me?
She's the one that got away.
The one I spend nights thinking about and sometimes days drinking for.
The one reason I keep sleeping around hoping to get her off of my mind.
"I have to go Tim." She snaps me back in reality.
"Where are you going Harm?"
"In here." She gestured to the cafe. "I'm meeting someone."
"Sarah?"
"How'd you know?"
"Word gets around here."
"This isn't a small- you know what? Just forget it."
"Let's catch up some time." I open the side of my jacket and pull out my card. "Here call me when you get the chance."
She took it from my hands, said thank you, and went inside the cafe. I wonder why she hates me so much, I didn't do anything to her....hmm.....I guess I'll figure it out later.
__________
Harmony's POV
I just hit Timothy.....My Timothy....I can't believe I hit him....and he gave me his number like I'm actually going to use it but still! He's not suppose to be here, he said he was going to travel around the world....well I mean it's been 20 years since I last spoke to him...I wonder why I stopped... Nevermind I don't need to be thinking about him.
I sat down at a booth waiting for Sarah to arrive.
"Harmony!!!" Sarah screeched coming into the cafe about 10 minutes after I sat down.
"Hey!!!" I lightly say back getting up to give her a hug.
She hugged me back and backed up "What's new???" She scans my body and twirls me around taking in everything new about me. "You're married?!"
I blush and turn back around. "Yes I am. He's amazing."
"I bet he is. I mean Timothy is a really good guy, I'm so gla-"
"I didn't marry Timothy." I interrupted her.
"What?"
"Tim?" She nodded her head. "I didn't marry him. I married Ryan, you remember him I dated him when we were Seniors.....and umm.....we broke up but we then reconnected about 17 years ago, been married for 16 of them."
"Oh." Sadness leaked her voice.
"What is it?"
She quickly washed it away. "Nothing dear let's order."
I shrugged it off and scanned the menu, not much around here.
A tall man came over with a smile and a notepad. "Hello ladies, can I get you something?"
Sarah spoke up before I could. "Yes you can I would like a Caramel Frappuccino with a shot of espresso please."
He nodded and smiled then he turned to me and said, "and for you?"
"I'll same the same thing minus the shot."
"Very good." He dotted the order and walked away.
"So what's going on?"
"Nothing really. I have kids now."
"You reproduced!!!"
"Well don't sound so shocked that someone would reproduce with me."
She lightly laughed. "I'm not. I was just surprised that they aren't with you."
"Yeah they were a little jet legged so they stayed at the hotel to rest."
The waiter came back to the table with our orders we said thank you and talked about the big and small things in our life.
__________
"Do you want to come inside?" I asked her as we walked to the door.
"Ugh...." She checked her watch. "Yeah I'll come in."
I opened the door walking in first we noticed my two babies cuddled up on my bed sleeping. "Awe!!!" I said, accidentally waking Ian up.
"Mom?" He groaned out moving his arm thus waking up Sam.
"Mommy?" She said rubbing her eyes, when she looked at me she looked behind me. "You're not my mommy!"
"No, honey I'm right here." I walked over to them giving them light kisses on their temple. "How was your nap?"
"It was really good. Ian and I watched some telly and then Bam!" She claps her hands. "Like a light I was out!" She sat back propping herself on her elbows. "Best sleep ever!!" Now she is proceeding to run around.
"Something like that." Ian comments.
Sarah puts a hand on my shoulder making me turn around. "Quite the personality to this one." She points to Sam.
I giggle. "Yeah Mandy always said she is just like me both inside and out."
"You miss her don't you?"
"Everyday of my life. Sam doesn't know so don't tell her."
"I won't. I promise."
