As I grow up
The innocence leaves
Chasing the sunlight seems like a waste of my time
Darkness is something I'm used to

I miss thinking monsters live under my bed
Now i know they live in our heads
The sky is black and the ground is grey
The trees are bare and the wind has left

We carelessly laugh as the world falls apart
We think one Has no impact
All around are plastic toys and plastic people
Easily broken easily replaced
There are thousands like you
And thousands like them
thousands like me
Thinking that they are all unique
But were all the same

Its human nature
To ignore what we have
Its human nature
To want more
Its human nature
To take things for granted

Ignore the things you have
Beg for more
Make them break their backs
As long as you get what you want

Your like a black hole
You take everything in that you can reach
But theres always a flaw
A black hole may eventually collapse in on itself

Its human nature
To ignore what we have
Its human nature
To want more
Its human nature
To take things for granted

Ignore the things you have
Beg for more
Make them break their backs
As long as you get what you want

Your only human
its human nature
So that
That makes it ok
Thats what they say
Your only human
You make mistakes
Mistakes happen once
This has gone on forever
