A Village Nearby Teaser Chapter

A/n: A Village Nearby is the next and last book of this series. I want to tease the whole first chapter here... So lucky you. Here we go....

I look at the small little broken down houses in this small field. I look at my dog Buster next to me, he sits his ears and tail high. I slowly walk down the old crack path into the small town. As I walked I see a man glare me, I smile and wave at him awkwardly.

"Hello?" A little boy says, he is quite cute. "Who are you?" He asks.

"I'm Rylin, this is Buster." I say pointing to my dog, he jumps and runs right next to him.

"Oh my god it's so cute!" He gushed.

I chuckled at the child, his blonde hair waving around as hugged Buster.

"Joshua! Come here!" I man came jogging to the blonde kid.

The dad looked at the kid then me.

"H-Hello? Who are you, do you work for Oh'kasis?" He asks worried and scared.

I shake my head confused, why would they be scared of Oh'kasis, last time I was in a village, the villagers told me Oh'kasis was nice.

"No I'm not an Oh'kasis member, I was just passing by. Me and my dog Buster are nomads and live where ever, we were trying to get to are camp over there in the mountains." I say to the man, I kind of regretting saying so much about myself to someone I don't know.

"Oh, really? Would you like to come over to my house? My wife makes the best fish in the Ru'an region." He said happily.

I thought about it for a second, it's been a long time since I eat fish, next to far in a house. Yum!

"O-Okay, well stay!" I smiled looking at the dad and kid.

"Oh! This Joshua, and I'm Rinp" he introduce himself with a smile.

"Hi Rinp, I'm Rylin!"

"Thanks for the dinner!" I say hugging Mary, Rinp's wife.

"No problem! It's been a long time since we had guessed!" She said looking at me and Buster.

I smiled warmly at her and at Joshua.

"Please come again!" Mary and Rinp said waving.

"Oh I will!" I promised leave the house.

I look at the cold night sky. It's was in the first quarter of winter, and still no snow... Thank god for that, me and Buster never had cloths for that. So me and him would just be in out tents cuddling for warmth. But today wasn't are day.... I felt a cold thing hit my skin, then another, and another.

"God damn it..." I said. "Stupid snow!" I shouted holding masked as me and Buster hurried to leave.

"Rylin! It's snowing, would you like to sleep over until morning!" Mary asked.

Again I thought about it, do I really want to sleep in a warm bed with a nice fire and heat. Heck yeah.

"Yes please!" I said politely.

Mary smiled warmly opening the door wider for me to come in.

I open my Amber eyes and looked around my light brown hair all over my face. I look out the window and see the sun out shining bright and snow on the ground. Buster was right next to me cuddling next to me. I get up whispering Buster's name. He shoots up and wags his tail.

"Come on..." I said whispering again. Buster jumps off the bed and we go downstairs.

When we go downstairs Mary was cooking breakfast.

"Good morning sweetheart! Would you like some eggs?" She asks.

"If I'm able yes please!" I say innocently.

"Of course your able, your already apart of the family." She pass me a plate of eggs. I smile at the nice smell of eggs.

"There back!" I hear someone from outside say, I look out the window and see 3 men on horse outside.
