So interesting for you to be seeing these words, isn't it?
You've lived your life, and I've lived mine
But why are you reading this?

Is it because of how vague it has been so far?
Is your mind enjoying searching for some underlying meaning?
Can you even find a real reason to continue?
Don't lie to yourself, you don't care what I have to say
You don't care who I am
Or where I've been
Tell me, why are you reading this?

Perhaps you're just waiting for some insight to arise
But why would you read this for insight?
You could have more of it than me
And anything you find arises from your own mind
Any meaning you derive is yours alone
These could easily be the ramblings of a Madman
So why are you reading this?

People disregard my spoken word daily
And they've done the same to you
So how are these words different?
If you met me, you'd never know it
If you heard me speak, it would be filtered out
With all of the other white noise
Ask yourself, why are you reading this?

This, of all things, when you disregard so much
When your thoughts alone are all you've ever truly heard
And taking notice is your last resort
When outside input is just an obstacle
To your absolute clarity of mind
It seems our answer has become evident
Why are you reading this?

Simple;
You're the one who wrote it.
