I want to leave this virtual realm,
discard my imaginary friends,
discard my worthless status,
discard the notion that this gives me meaning.
I want to summon the courage,
to communicate honestly,
to be vulnerable,
to be there for my friends.
Until then,
I just tap, tap, tap,
tapping on their picture,
tapping to zoom in on their faces,
tapping to replace them with a stranger.
Its 1:30 in the morning,
I haven't moved for an hour,
glued to this superficial world,
staring at a coward's reflection,
in a blinking screen.
