Shopping With The Malfoy's

"Oh no! Where'd it go?!" I huffed looking for my coat. Today was they day I go shopping with the Malfoy's! I have to make a nice impression.. I mean, yes I've met them before but.. I HAVE TO LOOK GOOD OKAY?!

I pulled my dark purple dress up, and placing the once missing black coat over top. There. I look like any other rich witch. My outfit consisted of typical dark purple witches dress with black stockings and black flats along with a thin black headband covering my brown locks. I looked okay..

"Melanie! Get down here! Your friends here! Oh god. Dads the one that opened the door for poor Draco, I bet he's threatening his life right now. I hurriedly grabbed my wand and stuffed it in my bag before making a mad dash to the door. "I'm here! I'm coming!" I huffed out of breath "alright, we'll have fun sweetie" I smiled to dad before leaving with Draco. "Your parents are over-affectionate.. Is nauseating" I rolled my eyes as I got into the car. "Evening, Melanie" mr. Malfoy said with a smile.. I swear his smile is creepy "good evening, mr. Malfoy" I smiled back then to Narcissa "hi there honey! It's nice to see you again" I continued to smile "likewise Mrs. Malfoy" she shook her head "uh uhh. It's Narcissa" I nodded.

Walking through Diagon ally with Malfoy's was weird. It was only weird because I was getting a whole bunch of stares from almost everyone. As a Crystaline, my family is powerful and well known around the wizarding world but this... Nothing compares to the looks I'm getting right now. Some older people began speculating that Draco and I were dating "boy, they're really talking today.." Narcissa smiled "why do they think we're dating? I mean most students know that we're only friends" Draco shrugged but Narcissa spoke up "some of these people don't have children to report to.. They just don't know. But honestly, I don't mind it" I blushed knowing she meant that she didn't mind if we were to get in a relationship "mum!" Draco yelped "Draco! Do not whine in public. It's embarrassing. Just ignore those piles of filth" rude.. People are not piles of filth. Draco nodded as we began going into the stores.

"Okay, did everyone get everything they needed?" I nodded along with Draco "good. Maybe we should go out to eat real quick?" Narcissa asked looking to Lucius "I don't see why not" oh.. dinner with the Malfoy's.. How nice.

It was decided we'd dine at a very classy restaurant. Perhaps I should have dressed up a bit? Nah, I'm fine. I've gotten to know the Malfoy's quite a bit, it's almost as if they're a second family to me "can I take your order?" A scrawny girl a few years older than me approached us "I'll have the steak rare, and I'd like a mug of coffee" Lucius answered without even thinking "I'll have a salad and some tea" Narcissa said next "I'll take some chicken nuggets.. And as small Dr. Fizzy" I answered confidently. No my choice wasn't the classiest but who can resist the nuggets?! "I'll have the same" Draco answered. Aww, how sweet! He ordered the same thing so his parents wouldn't think I'm weird and classless. As the waitress brought the drinks she began passing them out when a small bit dabbled onto the table in front of Lucius "how dare you! What if that had gotten on me?! My clothes actually cost something!" My eyes widened as Draco and I sunk into our seats, I not meaning to leaning into Draco "it didn't get on you, dear" Lucius began rapidly searching his clothes almost wishing for a stain to appear "I'll be back, I need to clean this" he walked off to the bathroom.

Dinner had gone swell, the one thing I didn't appreciate was when Lucius tossed some money at a poor man sitting on the side of the street. But what could I say really? I definitely don't want on his bad side! As we pulled into my homes driveway Lucius and Narcissa bided me a good day "I'll walk you to your door" Draco said. Must be showing off to his parents, to actually prove he has manners. "I guess I'll see you back at Hogwarts then" he nodded "oh. You wanted to know why I didn't bring Pansy.. You know, in your letter?" Oh yeah! I nodded "we're not on good terms right now.. That's why, I mean it's nothing bad so don't tell anyone" I nodded and smiled "I hope things work out for you, Draco" he giggled "you make it sound like we won't see each other ever again" I laughed "that's what it feels like.. But I suppose I'm being a bit too dramatic" he nodded "I'll see you later" I waved "bye! Enjoy the rest of your break!" I turned and entered my house.

I don't think I've ever been so excited for school to start.
