It didn't take long to figure out something was wrong.. Mother had dark circles under her once lively blue eyes.. Never once had I seen my parents in such distress. "Mom? Is everything okay?" No, perhaps asking that while sitting around the fire in the living room wasn't the best choice but I had to know "Huh? No, of course not.. Everything's fine. Why do you ask?" I sighed, she's lying. She didn't even answer the question properly "You and dad look wore out honestly.. It's concerning is all" mom looked to dad with what seemed to be tears brimming her still pretty eyes.

That's when I knew.. Things weren't okay. No matter if they'd tell me or not I'll try to get to the bottom of it. They shouldn't have to shoulder whatever this burden may be by themselves.

Later that night I decided I'd take a bold step and write a letter to Draco, I figured he wouldn't want to hear from me but I needed to thank him for covering for me. I took my normal seat behind the desk In my room and took out a piece of parchment... Now how do I word this? What exactly should I say?

Dear Draco,
I know you don't want to hear from me right now

No! No! No! That just makes me sound pathetic..

Dear Draco,
I hope you're doing well.. I know we aren't on the best of terms right now but I'd like to thank you for covering for me with your parents. It means a lot that you'd do that under the circumstances we find ourselves in. I know it won't do much good but I'd like to again, apologize for lying to you.. It was wrong of me, though I know you wouldn't approve of my actions even if I had told the truth. Perhaps we'll be friends again sometime down the road.. Maybe not. But for now, thank you I owe you.

There. That's the best I can do right now. "Nibbles! Come here girl" I anxiously rolled the letter and tied it closed. Nibbles flew over and allowed me to tie the letter to her foot, after giving her a quick pat on the head I opened the window and watched her fly out into the night sky.. Be safe Nibbles.

I threw myself onto my bed waiting for Nibbles to return.

I don't understand what my parents are hiding.. Is it really so important as to go to these lengths of obviously lying to me? If there's something going on I'd like to at very least let them know that they aren't alone in this struggle, no matter how big it is.. We're Crystalines' we can overcome any obstacle.
