Chapter 36

*3 weeks later* 

I'm out of school for summer which means Louis and I will have more time together. Louis hasn't pushed me to do anything since. I haven't been feeling right lately. I've been sick to my stomach and throwing up sometimes. I don't know if I should tell Louis or not yet. I know he's been worried wanting to know. He had to go to work today so I called Haley and asked if she wanted to go get lunch. I think maybe I should talk to her about this. I was getting ready when I heard a knock on the door. I went and opened it and saw it was Haley. She asked "Are you ready?"

"Almost."

She came in and sat on the couch. I finished getting ready and came back out. I said "Sorry I thought I would be ready sooner."

"It's fine. Let's go."

"Alright."

We got to the restaurant and we sat down.

She asked "Did you have something to tell me?"

"Kinda. I don't know forsure about this yet but I wanted to talk to you about it."

"Alright."

The waitress came up and asked what we wanted to drink then she walked away after we told her. Haley said "What?"

"I've been feeling weird the past couple days."

"What do you mean?"

"I've been sick to my stomach and throwing up."

"Have you and Louis done anything?"

"Yeah."

"Did you use protection?"

"Yeah, but..."

"But what?"

"The condom ripped."

"Couldn't he pull out before?"

"No, it happened right before."

"Have you told Louis about this?"

"No, he just knows I've been throwing up."

The waitress came back with our drinks and took our order and walked away again. Haley asked "Have you taken a pregnancy test?"

"No, I'm scared to know."

"You need to know."

"I know."

"Do you want to go get a pregnancy test after we leave here?"

"Yeah."

"What do you think Louis will say when he finds out?"

"I'm not sure. He's been worried about it."

"What do you mean?"

"He's been worried about it. He keeps asking if I am."

"We need to find out."

"I know."

The food came and we ate. We left and we went to the pharmacy. I asked "Are you sure we need to do this?"

"Yeah. You need to know."

We walked in and found one and bought it. We went back to her car and she asked "Do you want to do it at your apartment or mine?"

"Mine."

We got to my apartment. I had to admit I was nervous. I kind of didn't want to know. She went and waited in the living room and sat down and I went into my bathroom and took the test. I brought it out with me and she asked "What does it say?"

Then I heard Louis come in and ask "What does what say?"

"Nothing."

And put the pregnancy test behind my back. Louis said "I saw you put something behind your back. You can tell me. I won't be mad."

"It's a pregnancy test. I think I might be pregnant."

He seemed a little surprised and he came over and hugged me then said "Whatever that says I'll be here."

I smiled and asked "Really?"

"Of course."

He kissed me and asked "Do you know what it says yet?"

"No I'm scared to look at it."

"Do you want to look together?"

"Sure."

I flipped it over and looked at it. I saw a little plus sign. I was kind of surprised. I didn't think I would pregnant after one time. Louis kissed me and said "We're having a baby."

"Yeah."

Haley said "I'm going to go. I think you two have something's to talk about."

She left and I went and sat on the couch. Louis came and sat next to me then asked "What do you think?"

"I don't know, I'm scared, and nervous. I'm only 18 and it was only my second time."

"I know but we can do this."

"I hope so."

He smiled and said "I know we can."

"Will you stay with me?"

"Yes. I love you and I don't plan on leaving."

"When are we going to tell anyone else?"

"Maybe we should wait a little longer before we tell anyone."

"How are we going to tell my dad?"

"I don't know. He can find out when you start showing."

I laughed and said "No."

"You're right lets wait and then tell him and your mom together."

"Thats a good idea."

He smiled and said "I'm sure everything will be fine."

"Aren't you scared?"

"Yeah."

"When are we going to tell your mom?"

"Let's wait."

He kissed me then asked "Aren't you happy?"

"Kinda."

"Why only kinda?"

"I think we're too young and I wanted be a little older and out of college when I have a kid."

"I understand, I wanted to be older too but I'm sure you'll get to graduate college."

"Yeah but it will take longer. Maybe."

"Why maybe?"

"I started college a year early."

"I'm happy about this."

"Are you still going to fight?"

"Yeah, actually I came home early to tell you something about that."

"What?"

"I have a fight in two weeks."

"I'll be there again but this time there will two of us there."

He smiled and said "Yep and do you want to know who I'm fighting?"

"Sure."

"I'm fighting Nick again. He asked for another fight."
