Dark (Louis version)

Chapter 26

I was shocked that he said that. Why would he want to kill him? Is it because he kissed me? I stayed quiet the whole ride back to my house. When we got to my house I saw that my mom wasn't home still which is good. I didn't want to see her right now. I grabbed Louis' hand and walked upstairs to my bathroom. I turned on the cold water in the sink and he took his jacket off. I put his hands under the water and washed off the blood. I pulled out some band aides and put them on the counter. I noticed that Louis was staring at me the whole time. I dried his hand and put the band aides on his knuckles and said "Wait in my room." I walked out and went down stairs and got an ice pack and went back up and gave it to him. He said "Thank you."

"Your welcome."

"What's wrong?"

"You said that you kind of wished you killed him."

"I'm sorry I was still really mad."

He came closer to me and said "I don't wish I had killed him."

I didn't know what else to say then Louis asked "Are you still mad at me?"

"No, I understand when your mad you just say stuff like that."

He kissed me then said "Thank you for helping me tonight. Who knows what could have happened if you didn't come to help stop me."

"I would always do that."

He kissed me then said "We should get to sleep. You have school tomorrow right?"

"Yeah, but I don't really want to go."

"You need to go."

"I will if you make me."

"I'm taking you, you have to go." I laughed then he kissed me and we laid down and I fell asleep.

Over the last couple days Louis and I have been fine but my mom hasn't came home. I guessing she is still mad at me but normally she would leave a note and text me by now. I had a feeling like something happened. Louis picked me up from school and we went to his apartment since I decided to stay the night there. I went and sat in the couch and Louis came and sat next to me. He pulled me close and asked "Has Nick been at school?"

"No, I heard he dropped out."

Louis laughed and said "I'm not surprised."

"Do you know what happened to Zach?"

"Yeah, he was in the hospital then he got out. He's stayed in his house since then."

"Is he scared of you?"

"Now he is."

"Why do you sound so happy about that?"

"Now he will stay away from you."

"It still isn't nice."

My phone went off and it was a text from my mom. It said 'Come home when you can. I want to talk to you.'

 "That's weird."

"What's weird?"

I handed him my phone and he said "Does that sound like your mom?"

"Not really."

"Do you want me to go to your house with you?"

"Yeah."

Louis grabbed my hand and lead me to his car. I was wondering why that text sounded so weird. Something wasn't right. I could tell. Maybe it wasn't really my mom. Who could it be? Louis could tell I was starting to worry about it. He grabbed my hand and said "Please calm down. I'm sure everything is fine."

He started rubbing circles on my hand with his thumb. It started to calm me down. We got to my house and I wasn't sure what I could find. It could be my mom or it couldn't. Louis grabbed my hand again and he leant down and kissed me and said "I'm sure everything is fine. Please calm down."

I did a little bit. We walked in and I saw my mom on the couch. She smiled when she saw us. I started thinking maybe she is okay with me and Louis now. She asked "Can I talk to you?"

 "Yeah but Louis has to stay in here with me."

"That's fine. I'm sure you would have told him anyway."

"Yeah."

Louis grabbed my hand since he saw that I was getting nervous again. My mom said "You I haven't been home a lot since before you two started going out."

"Yeah. You've hardly been home that's why I like to go stay at Louis'."

"I have something to tell you."

"Yeah."

"Well you know how your father left when you were little."'

"Yeah."

"I found him again and he said he wants to come back and be with us again."

"What?"

Louis started to rub circles on my hand with his thumb to try and calm me down again. She said "Your father is here and he moved in. He wants to make things right and be here for you now."

"No."

"Why?"

"He wasn't around when I was younger so why would I want him around now."

"Just give him a chance."

Before I could say anything else he walked in from the kitchen. I said "I don't know."

I got up then walked out and Louis followed me. He asked "Do you want to go get something to eat and we can talk."

"Yeah."

He opened the door and lent down and kissed me. I pulled away and said "I love you."

He smiled and said "I love you too."

He got in and asked "Where do you want to go eat?"

"I don't know."

"I think I know where we can eat."

"Where?"

"Its a surprise."

The ride there was a little longer than I thought I would have been. When we got there I realized it was the restaurant that he took me to on our first date.
