I Need You

*The Unltrasound*

When we arrived to the ultrasound we went straight in and waited in the waiting room. It was only a few minutes before the doctor came to get us. As she was setting everything up she was asking us about our last appointment and I told her about the doctor's diagnosis of the irregular heartbeat. "Well, we'll see about that."she said after I finished telling her. She put the jelly on right below my navel. I felt as if my stomach was cutting flips left and right. And as the image appeared on the screen, we saw something that we'll never forget.
"Well, I see why there was an irregular heartbeat. Congradulations Ms. Benson, you're having twins."
I started crying, and Elliot wrapped his arms around me, crying as well. "You're gonna be such a great mother Liv."he said once the nurse left the room. "But what if I'm not cut out to be a mom El? What if I mess everything up and they hate me?"I asked sobbing "Don't worry about that beautiful, you'll be great. I promise."he said back.
Then next day we showed everyone at the precinct the photos of our precious little babies. Of course Cragen put me on desk duty but I was fine with that.
Amanda and Fin and Nick always took turns with trying to keep me company, and they would always bring me food while they were out. Amanda was especially specific on making sure that all of the food I consumed was completely healthy and she got me some prenatal vitamins. On the plus side my hair was growing longer and was becoming more shiny. I finally had that "glow" that everyone had always talked about. I love my life so much. I have got the best of both worlds, I have the greatest fiance in the world, who is also my best friend, and now I'm going to have two beautiful babies to call me mommy. I couldn't be any happier.
