I Need You

*The Baby Store*

Amanda had gotten a day off the same day I had, but Elliot had to work so she suggested spending a little girl time together. I was in no mood to refuse so we went to town. She treated me to getting a mani-petty and then we headed to the East side of Manhattan to all of the baby stores. When we arrived I was overwhelmed by just how much baby stuff they had in there. I mentioned to Amanda that we had gotten a bassinet and planned to decorate it when we found out what they were. So we went ahead and found another plain bassinet and we bought some gender-neutral baby clothes and some really mini blue converses. I was having so much fun. I still couldn't be believe that I, a woman who has been praying for pregnancy for years, was finally being able to have not just one, but to beautiful, and precious babies to call my own.
Amanda's beeper went off and she stepped out to take the call. She came back in saying that we were both needed at the station and to come fast. We left immediately and headed straight for the precinct. They were in the middle of a case and since I had been off they filled me in on what was going on, I talked captain into letting me go to this bust. A group of kiddy-porn makers had been seen at a local hotel with children accompanying them. He headed immediately to the hotel, we found the woman fast and she was arrested, the husband was no where to be found. I headed into their room. I found a young girl maybe about seven or eight wandering around saying something I couldn't understand, an older girl about 12 or 13 came out from the jointing room door. "Shhhhhh, you'll wake the baby."she said quietly. 'The baby?' I thought to myself I got up and asked the girl a few questions before I went into the room. I looked around the room but I saw no baby. Until I heard a little sigh coming from a drawer near by I walked over and saw the most beautiful baby boy ever.
