Today was the day! The day I get my baby Noah, and the day that I get to find out the sex of the babies. Today was going to be perfect. We loaded up Noah into our car for the first time. And I sat in the back the whole ride to the appointment just to be near him. He was making happy noises at me the whole ride. "Well, someone loves their mommy." Elliot said from the drivers seat.
We arrived at our appoinment and Elliot carried Noah and his carseat in. We sat in the waiting room for about thirty minutes before the doctor called us back. While he was setting everything up he said "Are you ready Ms. Benson." "Ready, Ready, Ready" I said back to him.
Elliot and I were looking at the screen waiting.
"Well, Baby #1 is definitely a girl."he said showing us how we could tell. Elliot is crying. "I have a daughter. And now I have a son."I said crying. "Well, scratch that, you have two daughters and a son now."the doctor alerted us. "Two daughters and a son."I repeated.
I was beyond excited. My beautiful little family was coming together so perfectly. I held Noah crying and let him see the screen. "You're a big brother Noah."Elliot said wrapping his arm around both of us smiling.
We got home from the appointment and fed Noah and brought him to his room so he could see. His bed was on the wall with a framed photo of the signed adoption paper above his bed. Along with a blanket on a shelf with Noah Stabler stitched on it. We layed him down in his bed and covered him with his blanket. He smiled up at us. My heart skipped a beat.
Later that night, with much discussion, we decided on names for the twins
Amity Summer Stabler and
Amariah Storm Stabler. El later pointed out that that would mean their initials are ASS, both of them so we changed the middle names to Rain and Cait.
My babies were spoiled before they were even born.
