"Baby.......baby...wake up. Noah's crying."Elliot says groggily. "It's your turn babe."I replied. Elliot got up to tend to Noah. He never questioned it. If Noah's crying he'll immediately get up usually, unless it's at night and then we both take turns. I'm beyond blessed to have him. And Noah, and Amity, and Amariah.
"Babe, something's wrong!"I heard Elliot scream from down the hall. My heart stopped I got up immediately and pounded down the hallway. I got to Noah's doorway within a few seconds.
"He's not breathing!!"Elliot screamed, tears streaming down his face. "Call an ambulance!"he shouted while trying to give Noah emergency CPR. My fingers were so fidgety when I got a hold of my phone.
"911 what is your emergency?"the operater said on the other side of the line.
"It's my son! He's not breathing please send an ambulance quick! 1947 Blanchard Avenue please hurry!"I said hanging up the phone. "I've got him breathing!" I heard Elliot shouting from down the hall. Then I heard the greatest thing ever. Noah started to cry. I ran down the hall picked him up and ran down the stairs and out the front door. The ambulance arrived a few seconds after. Me and Elliot rode in the back of the ambulance to the hospital.
We arrived and the doctor told us to wait in the waiting room and they rushed Noah off somewhere. "Olivia, he'll be fine. It's probably nothing."Elliot said. "It's probably nothing!? How the fuck could you say that!? He stopped breathing dammit! He stopped breathing!"I said loudly as my voice was cracking. I know he just said it to comfort me but my head was spinning and I couldn't understand most of the words coming out of my mouth. My mind was going out of control. I hit my knees sobbing loudly. "I can't lose him El! I can't!"I tried to say in between sobs. He kneeled on the floor and held me. "I'm sorry baby, I know."he said crying. We were both some blubbering babies when the doctor came out. And me being 5 1/2 months pregnant did not help with my emotions either.
"Noah has fluid build up in over 95% of his lungs, he needs emergency surgery. But we can not preform without your permission. He is sedated and on a ventilator at the moment, but if he doesn't have the surgery done he will have to be kept on the ventilator in order to breathe."the doctor explained.
"Yes, of course. Do whatever you have to, just save him."El answered for me. I couldn't  contain my emotions any longer and just broke into this awful, uncontrollable, loud, weird sounding, hysterical cry and my body started shaking.
