I was huge by the time I was 5 months pregnant. I had morning sickness, only it was all day long, most days.
I walked into the precinct with Noah to see the lights turned out. 'The fuck?' I thought to myself before flipping them on. "Surprise!" a lot of people shouted in unison. I smiled. Amanda came up to me and said, "So how'd I do on your surprise baby shower?" "It's perfect Amanda, thankyou."I replied thankfully. I walked around for a while, while chatting with people. I headed to Fin's desk and he held Noah playing with him. We've had him for a little over a month and he is the perfect child. Rarely ever cries and sleeps through the night, only thing is that he gets sick easily so we've had quite the amount of hospital visits. El says it prepares us for what's ahead with Amity and Amariah. I hipe they're just like him, I know he'll love them, and vice versa. I pick up Noah and carry him around to socialize with the other people, stopping at Nicks desk. "I wish Amanda would consider having kids, she'd be a great mother."he said sighing. "She will one day Nick, she's just not ready yet. Plus, maybe she'd rather be married before children. I kinda wish me and El would have, but I wouldn't change any of this for the world."I said while kissing Noah on his cheek. We planned on getting married after the twins were born, because of the fact of me being pregnant in a wedding dress is something I just couldn't swallow.
We sat down to open my presents. I got a lot of matching baby clothes, two beautiful blankets hand-made by my retired friend Munch. They were beautiful, just when I thought it couldn't get any better Nick and Fin wheeled in a double sided pink and white stroller. It was just what I had wanted. Today was a perfect day.
