Chapter 11

Lauren's pov-

Me and Stefan were at his house waiting for Lisa to come with my things. Stefan was explaining to me all the things about being a vampire. It was boring but I listened since this is going to be my new life.

'So you can run super fast, you can compel people, you have super good hearing and strength.' Stefan explained.

'It sounds pretty cool.' I said very happily.

'No, it gets worse. Drinking blood.' Stefan told me.

'I ain't drinking blood.' I exclaimed.

'Then you'll die.'

'I'm drinking blood then.'

'Anyway.' Stefan continued. 'You should go on the animal diet like me, so nobody has to die you will have to learn how to control your urge for blood.'

'Okay anything else.' I asked.

'Watch out for a herb called vervain. You can't touch, smell, digest it or anything it burns like hell and it also stops you from compelling people if they have it on them but you shouldn't compel people anyway. Apart from if it's necessary which in some cases it is.' Stefan finished.

'Is that it?' I wondered.

'For now yeah.' He said. I jumped up in excitement. 'Wait there is one more thing.' I froze and stared at him. 'Your not a full vampire yet.'

'What? But how?'

'Your in transition and to complete your transition you have to drink human blood or you'll die.' I froze even more still I didn't think it was possible but it was.

'Are you kidding me?' Stefan shoke his head. 'But don't worry about that now you can settle in and chose a room and then feed tonight.'

'Tonight?'

'You have to feed with in the next 24 hours of waking up.'

'Ok.' I took a deep breathe to keep myself calm. Lisa then came through the front door with too suit cases and a bag.

'You don't have that much stuff do you Lauren?' Stefan asked. Stefan used his vampire speed to get to Lisa.

'Now that is cool! I want to do it.' I exclaimed.

'You can do that when you've fed on human blood.' Stefan explained.

'Human blood?' Lisa's face dropped.

'Don't worry about that now, so why have you got so many bags?' Stefan asked Lisa.

'Well, there's a lot of family drama so I was wondering if I could move here too and to help keep an eye on Lauren.' She asked.

'I can take care of myself.' I shouted whilst looking through a magazine.

'You proved that when you killed myself.' Lisa said back.

'You think I was suppose to kill myself because I wasn't.' I walked over to Lisa. 'But I'm glad I did.'

'Lauren I'm sorry.' Lisa apologized.

'Its fine. Now I'm going to choose a room.' I walked of upstairs whilst Stefan and Lisa got the rest of the bags.

I was offended by what Lisa said. Why would I want to kill myself? I didn't mean to die and she's lucky I had vampire blood in my system or I still would be dead. Well I technically am dead. Whatever, being a vampire sounds pretty cool. Apart from drinking blood but oh well. I found a room which looked perfect. There was a bed, a wardrobe, a bathroom, a book case and an empty desk. It was perfect. I ran and jumped on the bed and fell on my bed. The bed was so comfy it was unreal. This was now officially my room. I just needed some posters and stuff but it was fine. I just lay on the bed thinking about my new life. Then it hit me. I might not be able to see any of my other family again. Including little spice, my birthday twin, Ams, Kath my brothers and my parents. A tear then ran down my face. Stefan then walked in with two big bags and a suitcase.

'What's wrong?' He asked me.

I sat up. 'Will I ever see any of my other family?' I wondered.

'You've got Lisa.' Stefan shrugged.

'I'll take that as a no.' I fell back into my bed. Stefan then and sat at the end. 'Being a vampire does have a lot of bad things to it.'

'I know, but after a couple of years you'll be fine. You also have me. I'll be your big brother.' He then hugged me.

'Thanks, your the best.' I told him.

'Well I don't like to brag.' We both laughed. 'Well you best get un packing and make yourself at home.' Stefan then walked out.

Stefan's pov-

I just walked out of Lauren's room and then went into Lisa's room. I walked in.

'Thanks for letting us stay here.' Lisa thanked me.

'It's fine.' I told her. 'So what happened with your sisters?'

'They think I took Laurens body, well I know I did. Then Christina slapped me so I told them I'm moving out.' She explained.

'You just need space from them and you can stay here for as long as you want.' I said.

'Thank you.' Lisa then walked up to me and hugged me. I then noticed somebody was standing at the door.

Lisa let go of me. 'Elena?' She said. I turned around. It wasn't Elena. I bet you know who it was.

'Not quite.' The girl said.

'Katherine.' I said.

'Your right there.' Katherine smiled.

'What are you doing here?' I asked. I stood in front of Lisa.

'I heard about Elena, about how your keeping her locked away in your cellar, so I let her go.' Katherine laughed.

'You what?' I exclaimed.

'You heard me.' Katherine walked up to Lisa and said 'got yourself another bird.'

'No, her sisters a vampire. So she's staying here to help her sister.'

'To be honest I don't care. As you know I'm on the run from Klaus so I have to go.' Katherine said and then walked out.

'What's going on?' Lisa asked me.

' Do you know what a doppelganger is?'

'Somebody's evil look alike who torment each other.'

'Yeah, well basically Elena has a vampire doppelganger who is over 500 years old and has just let New vampire Elena out on the streets when she could kill someone. I'll be back later.' I ran out using my vampire speed.
