Chapter 26

Elena's pov-

We eventually arrived at the lake house. 'So what are we doing here?' I asked Caroline.

'Lauren freeze the lake.' Caroline smiled.

'What?' Me and Lauren said at the same time.

'So we can ice skate.'

'Caroline, we could of just gone to an ice skating ring.' I told her.

'This is free and it will just be us.' She said.

'What makes you think I can freeze the lake?' Lauren asked.

'You managed to freeze the water in the tap.' Caroline explained.

'Yeah that was a tap... this is a lake.' Lauren pointed.

'You could at least try.' Caroline pouted. 'Please.'

'Fine.' Lauren sighed and walked across to the edge of the lake. She scanned the lake for a few minutes and turned around and looked at us. 'I think I might be able to do it.' She turned back, took a deep breathe and closed her eyes.

Stefan's pov-

'They've been ages.' Christina walked up to me.

'They will be fine.' Damon said

'Christina's right, they have been ages.' I admitted.

'If you that worried then ring them.' Damon suggested. Christina grabbed her phone out of her pocket and called Lauren.

'She's not answering.' Christina said worriedly.

'Try Dani.' I told her. She then rang Dani. Lisa walked over with Dani's phone.

'She's left it here.' She told us. 'Why are you ringing her anyway?'

'They've been ages.' Christina said.

'I'm sure they are fine. All 5 of them are vampires.' I tried to calm them down.

'But Klaus is more powerful than all of them put together.' Damon said.

'Damon!' I slapped him around the head.

'What it's true?' Damon said. 'You should be scared of Klaus.' Christina and Lisa looked at me worried.

'I will ring Elena.' I said.

Dani's pov-

We were still standing at the lake. Lauren still hadn't frozen it. I could tell Caroline was getting impatient but she didn't say anything. Elena's phone then rang and she answered it.

'Hello.' She answered.

'Elena where are you?' I heard Stefan answer from the other side of the phone.

'At my parent's lake house.' She told him.

'You can't get in without Jeremy.' Stefan said confused.

'Yeah, well Caroline only wants the lake.' Elena laughed.

'What does she want with... She wants Lauren to freeze it doesn't she? That's why she took Lauren.' Stefan realised.

'Yeah.' Elena laughed. I got bored waiting, so I went on a little stroll. I got to the front of the lake house and sat on the porch. The front door Then creaked, so I turned around and the door was wide open.

'Guys.' I shouted. Only Elena and Tyler came around to me.

'What's wrong?' Tyler asked.

'The door just opened on it's own.' I told them.
