Hated And Depressed

I sat in my room for a good two weeks, only coming out for food, to shower and go to the bathroom whenever Alicia wasn't home. I was still suspended and today I had to go back to school and head on over to DAEP instead. It was in some separate part of the school where no one can come in without a password and a key. Lovely.

"Louis, get your ass downstairs!" My mother called up the stairs. Her and Jared have been getting in loads of fights since the day I stood up to her at the dinner table and she has become so cold to me since she caught me and Alicia in my room. Life has legitimately been hell. She has ignored me and Alicia, yelled at and fought with Jared and chance she gets and just about tells everyone in the damn neighborhood how much her family and life sucks; its just fucking wonderful...

I grabbed some skinny jeans out of my closet and they just happened to be my favorite red ones but at this time I had no desire to be the old Louis, he was gone the moment Alicia left me, the moment my mom turned on me and the moment my life became hell. I threw them back in the closet and grabbed some black ones and a grey sweatshirt off the floor, running my fingers through my hair, making it stick all up in all kinds of directions. This is going to be a fabulous first day back...

I got my book bag off the floor and headed down the stairs, stomping the whole way down. "Louis pick up your damn feet for once. You sound like a depressed elephant. Now go to school, I don't want to even see your face right now. Just go." I sighed and slouched just a little lower as I walked past her and made my way outside. "Oh, you aren't using your car Louis, you can walk your ass to school." She took my keys from my hands and shoved them back in the house.

"Okay." Was all I said as I turned to make my way to school in the bitter cold that was left over in springtime here in Doncaster. She slammed the door behind me, hard. I think she truly hated me for some reason that I would probably never find out. Me being with Alicia was not bad enough for her to hate me so much. Alicia's car was gone, within my two weeks of suspension her dad bought her a car instead of her taking mine because that's what my mom said to do so that I would have to look at it all day in the driveway, not being used at all. Alicia was already at school and just thinking about her and not seeing her due to me being in DAEP, broke my heart apart even further than before. It was like a little sliver of hope that kept me from breaking down completely, a little sliver of hope that kept me alive.

I arrived at school just as it started to rain. Fabulous. I ran up the steps into the school and towards the front office. Sitting at her desk like the first day Alicia moved in, she waited. I cleared my throat and began to speak with a shaking voice, "I-I-I need to know how to g-g-get to DAEP..."

I breathed out heavily, rolled her eyes and looked up at my pale face. "Louis Tomlin-" She stopped. Maybe it was because of my appearance or my stature or just that it was my awful self in general, I don't know but she started out again with a softer tone. "Louis, it is out in the annex building by the elementary play ground. You have to be there all day, no off campus lunch, it will be brought to you along with your work. There are only about 4 other kids in that class. Just...be careful okay." I broke our gaze by casting mine to the floor.

I mumbled something similar to an, "okay, thanks." And made my way over to the playground. On the way over I ran into Caleb you would normally shake in my presence just shuddered when I looked up at him. Man, I must look worse than I thought.
