Smoke has overtaken my vision as I puff it out of my mouth. Here I am, smoking at my usual spot, outside of the brick building I'm supposed to call my healing place. Ms. Gen says I'm always welcome here, even if it's not my usual therapy day. It's hard to feel welcome anywhere for me because I haven't felt that warm fuzzy feeling in such a long time.

The sun was beginning to set in the distance, for the sky was turning into a darker shade of gray. This signaled me it was time to go home and call it a day. But I couldn't exactly do that with a tall boy blocking my path. "Luke I have to go, what is it?"

"You should really stop." He responded nonchalantly. I furrowed my eyebrows, obviously confused on his out of the blue comment. His icy blue orbs diverted from my eyes to my left hand. The hand with the cigarette between my middle and pointer finger.

I roll my eyes and push past his tall lanky body, attempting to end this conversation. "And you should really stop trying to give strangers pointless advice."

I really don't know whats gotten into me. One minute I'm telling myself I need to get to know this boy but at the moment, I want him as far as possible away from me. My feet moved as fast as they could take me in order to get away from this boy. But my mind was telling me to stop moving.

"You're pretty stubborn. Also not very fast." Luke suddenly appeared in front of me, causing me stop so I don't run into his tall, lanky frame.

"Funny because you can't just assume I'm stubborn. You should really get to know a person before you start planting labels on them." I spat back at him.

He didn't seem to be bothered by what I stated back at him, for he just gave me a cheeky smile and retorted back, "Okay. Hows tonight sound?" What?

"What do you mean Luke? I really don't have time for this." I desperately sighed and gazed into his mesmerizing eyes.

"You said it yourself Jessica. Your right as well. I should get to know you before I have the right to call you stubborn," He grabbed a set of keys out of the pocket of his jeans and waved them in front of my face. "I've a decent car, full tank of gas, and the open road to spend hours on."

Didn't expect my words to backfire on me. But unfortunately for me, it did. It's also unfortunate that my head was begging me to take this offer when all I wanted to say was no. Many silent minutes passed, as well me quietly debating on what to announce out to Luke.

"Well?" He said after several moments.

"Wheres your car?"

My mind has found a way to win this time.
