Chapter 4

" Alec what is your problem? Why don't you like her?" Jace asked
" I just don't like her I hate her guts." Alec said as his eyes twitched.
" Let me see your arm."
" No."
" Now." Jace hissed.
" I'm good." Alec said as Jace grabbed his arm. Jace pulled his sleeve up and saw a demon bit. It wasn't bad enough to kill him but enough to make him go crazy. Jace strapped Alec down to a bed and went back to Jackalen.
" Jackalen are you ok!" Isabelle and Clary asked.
" Yeah I am fine." Jackalen hissed as Jace walked in.
" Hey are you ok? I am so sorry that I didn't come faster when you yelled." Jace said.
" I am fine." Jackalen said.
" Alec has a demon bite and is strapped down on a bed." Jace said as Jackalen ran out of the room. " I'll go get her." Jackalen ran for the door when she got outside it felt like it should be snowing. She ran across the street almost getting hit by a car. "Jackalen stop!" She turned right and finally stopped at a bench that was 5 blocks down from the Institute.
" What Jace." She hissed as Jace came and sat down by her.
" Are you ok." Jace said worriedly.
" No this is what Valentine did to me every day." Jackalen said crying.
" Lets go back to the Institute," Jace said standing up.
" Fine lets go." She got up and tried to walk but felt to weak.
" Can you walk back."
" Yeah I'm fine." She said as she almost fell.
" No your not." Jace said as he picked Jackalen up bridal style.
" Put me down!" Jackalen said laughing.
" No you can't walk." Jace said as Jackalen got comfortable his arms.
" I don't have a choice do I."
" No." Jace said as he smiles. Jackalen fell asleep in Jace arms. She woke with an arm on her and someone against her. She turned her head to see who it was. It was Jace. I must be in Jace's room I like it in here. I feel safe. Jackalen thought. She lied there for another 5 minutes cuddling next to sleeping Jace. She finally tried to get off the bed with out waking up Jace so that she could take a shower and see her face. When she got to the door someone was talking to her.
" Good morning where are you going?" Jace said.
" To take a shower and to look at my face."
" I see your face and it is beautiful even with all those bruised and cuts." Jace said. Jackalen started blushing.
" Well I still need to look at it and when I am done I will make breakfast."
" Fine." Jace said as Jackalen left. After her shower she put on some gray leggings with a white tank top that had a black leather jacket over it. She put her hair in a bun and went to the kicten.
She cooked some eggs and bacon. "Breakfast is ready!" Jackalen yelled. Someone was already at the table. It was Alec.
" Hey I'm sorry for what I did I was bite by a demon and went crazy." Alec said.
" It's fine I know it wasn't it your fault you weren't in control of your own body." Jackalen said.
" Thanks but there has to be a way for me to pay you back."
" You can pay me back by helping me set the table." Jackalen said smiling.
Once they were done everyone was there eating.
" So when is birthday Jackalen?" Jace asked as he put some eggs in his mouth.
" Wensday" Jackalen said. " So is there a training room?"
" Yeah me and Clary can take you there after breakfast." Isabelle said.
" Ok thanks." Jackalen said. " But I'm going to get change first." She changed in black leggings and a gray tank top. There was a knock on the door. It was Isabelle and Clary.
" You ready?" Isabelle said.
" Yeah just let me put my boots on and grab my swords." Jackalen said.
" We're here." Clary said as they stood I'm front of wooden doors.
" Thanks for showing me where the training room is." Jackalen said.
" No problem just take it easy." Isabelle said.
" There is no such think as easy. And I used stele to fix my face." Jackalen said.
" Ok it's your choice." Clary and Isabelle said as they walked away. When Jackalen walked in she saw a balance beam and she smiled. She took her boots off and put her swords down. She got on the balance beam and did a hand handstand. She walked all the way down on the beam on her hands and to finish it off she did a front flip. Someone started clapping it was Jace.
" Wow you can do a handstand." He said. " Welcome to the group now everyone here can do handstands."
" Shut up." Jackalen said laughing.
" So what do you want to do?"
" Oh I will pay you back after I'm done."
" Wait why?" Jace asked as Jackalen started punching a punching bag.
5 minutes later the bag ripped open.
" I see you think your so tuff. Lets go then." Jace said chuckling.
" Fine no shoes for me because you know." Jackalen said. Jace chuckled.
" To make it fair I'll take my shoes off."
" Fine the lets get started." She said smiling. Jace ran to Jackalen. She did a back flip over Jace and blew a kiss. "Come on Jace please try." She said giggling.
" Shut up." He said as he ran to Jackalen and swang at her she ducked and as she came back up she punched him in his face. He bent down." Ow ow ow." He whispered.
" O my gosh are you ok I didn't think I would hit you that hard." She said running over there. He smiled at her and grabbed her arm and flipped her over. " You cheated!" She yelled childishly.
" Well you shouldn't let me fool you."
" Well if you care about someone and they saved you I would think that they wouldn't fool you."
" You care about me?"
" Of course I do I care about all shadow hunters besides the ones who have hurt me. Besides Alec it wasn't his fault." She said as Jace helped her up. " Well I'm going to take a shower." " Of course you are your all sweaty." Jace said talking in a girly voice.
" Well then how will anyone hug you." She said playing.
" I don't like hugs."
" What everyone loves hugs." She said as she walked to Jace. She put her arms around him and hugged him. As he picked her up and hugged her back. " See Jace even tough people like you love hugs." She said as she walked back to her room. Once she got inside she got a white shirt that was so beautiful and a black skirt. There was a knock on her door as someone came in.
" Hey I got invited to a party but not any party the host might know where Clary's mom is." Isabelle said.
" How are we going to get in?" Jackalen said.
" I got invited but wear something nice and bring weapons and holy water its a downworld party."
" I still need to take a shower."
" Its only 2 so grab your stuff and come shower and get ready in my room."
" Ok be there in 5." Jackalen put her clothes back and went in her closet and grabbed a dress.
