Chapter 15

Jace woke up again and remembered that tomorrow was Jackalen's birthday. He was thinking about taking her to the roof and see the midnight flowers. I need to get her something. Jace thought. Jackalen woke up a couple minutes later.
" Good morning." She said
" Oh good morning" Jace said
" What's wrong"
" Nothing"
" You're acting like nothing has happened between us!" She yelled ( all of love how Jace makes it seem like nothing has happened with us or at least I do)
" No I'm acting normal it's just when you came I was acting different."
" Fine act that way!" She said and walked out.
" Ughh why are girls so complicated!" Jace yelled All I was trying to do was think about what to get her. Jace got off his bed and walked to Jackalen's room.

There was a knock on Jackalen's door Jackalen opened it thinking it was Isabelle.

" What do want" She said.
" I'm sorry I...I just know I'm sorry." He said. Jackalen didn't say anything back but grabbed Jace and kissed him like her life depended on it Jace picked her up and closed the door behind them Jace put Jackalen on the bed Jackalen noticed Jace didn't have a shirt on and started tracing stuff on his chest. They finally braked the kiss Jackalen got off the bed and picked up the covers and then laid next Jace until Her head was on his chest.
" So guess you forgive me." Jace said with a chuckle.
" Yes now please just cuddle with me and let me go to sleep." Jackalen fell asleep about five minutes later. Jace got up and left.

Jackalen woke up and notice that Jace had left. It was already 5 Jackalen started getting changed she put black tights on with a black undershirt. She went to Isabelle's room and notice she was packing.
" Where are you going "
" To Idris."
" Why and with who"
" Alec and my parents are going to meet us up there."
" But why"
" Cause tomorrow is my younger brother Max death date."
" Oh so who is staying here"
" Jace Clary and you."
"Ok when are you leaving."
" In ten minutes."
"OK bye"
" Bye and happy early birthday." Issy said as Jackalen left and went to Jace's room. She knocked and then opened the door and saw Jace had only a towel on. He had water droplets on his skin and the towel was hanging low on his hips. Jackalen's eyes scanned his body over.
" My eyes are up here unless you just came in here to stare" Jace said.
" Did you know they were leaving?"
" Yes."
" Why aren't you and Clary going"
" Cause each year Alec and I will take turns staying here at the Institute and Clary goes when ever."
" So" Jackalen said as she sat on his bed" what do you want to do."
" Get some clothes on what about you."
" Just come in my room when your done changing."
" I was going to change in the bathroom."
" Ok" She said as Jace went to go and get change. She laid down and stared thinking it was just going to be her and Jace. And of Clary. A few seconds later Jace came out.
" So what do you want to do" Jace said
"Leave." Jackalen said.
" Why"
" Because tomorrow is my birthday and Valentine is coming and will kill you all"
" We have all gone against Valentine your fine"
" Not really do you know what it's like to be an experiment."
" Yes I do Valentine feed my mother angel blood while she was pregnant with me. Clary's mother as well with her brother but he was different and had demon blood but Clary has angel blood like me."
" I'm sorry he did that to you."
" Don't be what kind of blood did he use on you."
" I don't know."
" Ok well you go and eat and train and I will see you later."
" Ok." Does he not want to talk to me because I might have demon blood. Jackalen thought.
************************************ After eating and training
Jackalen went to her room and took a shower after her shower she got her PJs on. She had a black long sleeve crop top and her black and white shorts on. It was already 10:45. When she heard a knock on her door. She walked over and opened the door and saw Jace. In sweat pants and a black t-shirt.
" Nice pajamas are all of your pajamas like this." Jace said
" Haha that's so funny I forgot to laugh."
" But you did you said haha."
" If you aren't going to tell me anything then I'm going to bed."
" Ok well your birthday is in 1 hour and 15 minutes so I'm taking you to go and celebrate."
" Ok let's go."
" Ok follow me."
" Hey if we're celebrating my birthday then do I get a piggy back ride."
" Fine get on my back." Jace said as he bended a little and then Jackalen jumped on.
" So where are we going."
" You will fine out." Jace said weirdly.
" Your not planning to kill me are you."
" Maybe or maybe not. Were almost there." Jace said a s they went up some stairs."
"I can get off now if you want me to."
" No your fine." Jace said as he opened a door. Jackalen saw that it was a garden. There was all the plants you could name. In the center of the garden there was a gray blanket played out. On the blanket there was a basket. They walked over to the blanket and then Jace sat Jackalen down.
" Do you like it?" Jace said.
" It beautiful." Jackalen said.
" Well I hope you like pasta." He said as he pulled out two to go boxes that were filled with pasta.
" Yes I do. And were did you get that pasta from."
" Taki's"
" Ok thanks. Why didn't you cook"
" Do want it from Taki's or the kitchen burned down."
" Taki's is fine."
" That's what I thought."
" I don't think Clary likes me."
" She probably is just jealous."
" Why."
" Because we use to date."
" Oh ok so what do want to talk about cause it already 11:30"
" Follow me" Jace said as he grabbed Jackalen's hand.
" Ok" She said as Jace took her up on some stairs. Jace put one of his hand in his pocket. And pulled out a dager that is shaped like a rose and it was a dark red color.
" Its not much but there rare." Jace said to Jackalen as he handed her the dager.
" Thank you it beautiful but I didn't think I would get anything."
" Nobody shouldn't get any thing"
" What did you get."
" Weapons but my 9th birthday I got a class how to kill a man from the back so that you hit his spine and heart."
" I remember you telling me that Clary has a brother. Cause that means he is my half sibling so where is he."
" He's dead."
" How did he die"
" I killed him."
" What. Why"
" He tried to kill me and then Isabelle"
" Is it because he had demon blood."
" Yes."
" Oh." Jackalen whispered.
" Look." Jace said as he pointed at some flower buds. The clock struck midnight and the buds all opened. The smell that came out of them was the most beautiful thing that Jackalen could ever smell.
" Wow." Jackalen said.
" Happy birthday Jackalen." Jace whispered in her ear and then he put his arms around her waist. And his head on her shoulder. The flowers then all started to close back up.
" What kind of flowers were those."
" Their called midnight flowers."
" Thank you Jace." Jackalen said as she turned around in his arms and look in his eyes. All she saw in his eyes was a storm a storm that wanted her to become a part of it like of she was a house and the storm was a tornado.
" No problem." Jace whispered. And then they started moving closer to each other their eyes close and their lips touched each other. Jackalen put her hands on Jace's chest. And Jace brought her as close as possible to him.
" Jace" Jackalen whispered as her lips were still touching his. " Thank you for every thing"
" No problem." Jace said as he pulled away " Come on let's go." Jace said as he grabbed Jackalen's hand and took her to her room.
" Jace can you stay until I fall asleep."
" Ok."
Jackalen goes and lays down on her bed next to wall and then Jace turned off the light and laied down next to her. 5 minutes later Jackalen falls asleep and Jace leaves and goes back to his room.
************************************ Next morning.
Jace wakes up and see its 10. He walks to Jackalen's room and knocks. No one answered so Jace opened the door and saw that Jackalen's window was broken and she was no where to be seen. Jace ran to Clary's room and walked in and saw her window was broken as well and she was also no where to be seen. Jace then knew that they were both kidnapped by Valentine.
