I was more than excited to move out. I always liked having time to myself. I am the type of girl who loves sitting in her room, listening to music. Once I had packed everything, which wasn't much honestly, my dad helped me pack everything into my car.

"I can't believe you are moving out." He said.

"I'm only a block away." I reminded him.

"I know but you are my little girl Skyler."

"I'll always be your little girl dad. But I have to move out some day. Take care of mom and Kian."

My mom was at work and my brother, Kian was out with his friends.

"I will. We will be over in the next week to check on you." He hugged me one last time and I climbed into my car.

Being eighteen and being able to live on your own was a scary thought. I was still happy with my decision and I was going to stick with it. I was finally going to have the alone time I wanted and not be bothered by Kian every ten minutes. Another bright side, I don't have to work. My dad made really good money where he works so when I decided I wanted to move out he told me he would give me money every month. We were a pretty close family. We pretty much do everything together. When I pulled into the apartment complex I smiled. I managed to get everything to my apartment in one trip. Once I was in I ran to my room and jumped on the bed. The sheets on the bed smelled like vanilla. Even though they were provided for everyone by the complex I wanted the ones I had from home. I changed the sheets and threw the others in the corner. After I done that I knew I needed to go food shopping. As I was locking my door I noticed a boy about my age or older with two big bags of food. He knocked on a door a few down from mine. Ever so slowly the door opened. All I could see was a head of unnaturally red hair. The person grabbed the bags and closed the door. The boy outside said a few things then turned towards me.

"Hi! You must be new here." The boy said.

"Yeah. I just moved in today." I said.

"My names Calum."

"I'm Skyler." I said shaking his hand.

I looked back at the door.

"He's a bit strange. We have been friends since we were younger. He never leaves. Never. I go and get everything he needs. He never lets anyone in. His name is Michael." Calum explained.

"D-do you know why?" I asked.

"He has really bad anxiety. He talks to me on the phone and we FaceTime but he never lets me in. It started after high school." Calum continued to explain.

"Wow."

"Well I better get going. I'll see you around Skyler." He waved.

"See you." I smiled and watched as we went into his apartment only two doors down from mine.

I took one last look at the door before heading to the store. When I looked back the door was cracked open just a little and I caught a glimpse of that red hair again before the door closed.

-Finally I have a new story! I feel like I haven't wrote anything in forever! I've been super busy the past 2 weeks but I'm back and ready for this story. I'm still in the process of working on it and it's only like 4 chapters so far but I'm working on it and I feel like it's going places! Sorry for rambling! I hope you enjoy this story! -Lynds
