Part 22

[Nyomi's POV]

I took one last quick look in the mirror, I had on a cream oversized sweater, shorts, sandals and my hair was in a bun. Just as I was about to apply some more mascara the doorbell rang and I knew that had to be Ross. I raced out of my room to go get the door, "hiya!" I said slightly out of breath. "Hey babe" he said pulling me in for a kiss, his lips tasted like coconut. I stepped back and looked at him, he had on and leather jacket with a white shirt under it, along with jeans and a pair of sneakers. He looked so hot. I tilted my head and smiled at him, "ready?" I asked, he reached out and grabbed my hand, "only if you are". 

We walked out to his car and I texted my mom that I would be out late. Ross drove us to a private beach in Malibu, we got out and started walking down the beach, we talked about Lacey and his band, then we sat on the beach to watch the sun go down. It was a gorgeous sunset, the sky was a mix of orange, pink and lavender. After a while Ross turned to me "I have to tell you something...." "what" I asked concerned, "well, the band kinda got booked on this mini tour..." he explained "and it starts next week and I'll be gone for 3 weeks" he finished. I stared at him. He looked scared, I think my silence was scaring him, but I had no idea what to say. I wasn't mad. This was his job, and I was just his girlfriend, I couldn't expect him to be here with me all the time. Finally I looked into his eyes, "you'll have fun on tour, I'll miss you but I'll see you when you get back" he smiled "you really are the best" he said pulling me in for a kiss. We sat on the beach for a little while longer but then I had Ross take me home.
