Part 32

[Ross's POV]

My flight landed at 6:30 am and I took a cab to Nyomi's house. By the time I got there it was past 8 am, I hoped she would be awake. As the cab drove away I saw two horses racing towards the house, I squinted and realized Nyomi was on one, and who I assumed was her father on the other. They got closer and soon Nyomi was right in front of me. She looked down at me "Hi" I said, she stared at me "what are you doing here?" she asked. Just then the second horse came up behind her and I could see it clearly wasn't her dad. "Who's this?" the stranger asked, "this is Ross" Nyomi answered, "her boyfriend" I interjected, not taking my eyes off of her, "and you are?" I asked. "I'm Matt" he said. Nyomi met my gaze, "Matt, I'll talk to you later" she said getting off her horse, he got off and handed her the reins, "you sure you don't need any help?" he asked, "we've got it, Matt" I cut in. He laughed, "bye Ny, see you later" "bye" she called then started for the barn, I followed. 

"So" I started, "why are you here?" she snapped as she turned to face me, "why am I here? Why are you hanging out with him?" I asked angrily, "why were you kissing another girl?!" she practically shouted. She got real quiet after that but I could see the anger in her eyes. "Nyomi, I...." I started again "you're sorry, yeah yeah yeah, that doesn't fix it" she said as she began putting her horse away. "I know, but that's why I'm here, to fix it" I pleaded, "what's there to fix, Ross, you kissed another girl, you hurt me" she sighed, she sounded like I had ripped out her heart. 

I moved closer to her, she wouldn't look at me, I reached out and touched her shoulder then slowly slid my hand down her arm reaching for her hand, I kissed her neck and turned her into me, she slowly brought her eyes to mine. "I love you" I whispered and kissed her, "I came all the way out here to tell you that". She pulled away, "I believe that you're really full of it" she said as she started started putting the other horse away.
