Part 19

[Nyomi's POV]

I woke up at 5:30 and got in the shower, after my shower I put on cropped yoga a cropped sweatshirt and threw my hair into a bun. As I walked downstairs I saw Lacey's luggage in the entryway. Sadness overtook me, I couldn't believe I was going to miss my little sister. I texted Ross to see if he was up, after a few minutes he answered and I told him I would text him when I was on my way. Lacey came out of the kitchen with Chevy on her heels, we sat of the stairs together and just looked at her stuff. "Ny, are you sure you don't want to come?" she asked "yeah Lace, I feel bad about leaving Mom..." I was choking back tears "Nyomi I know you miss home, and I think it's dumb for Ross to ask you to stay" she said point blank "he's just a guy, and if he really loved you then he would let you go" "Lacey, he doesn't love me and I don't love him, we aren't there yet" I told her, my mind was filling with thoughts but Lacey stopped them all "so why are you staying? Is he worth it?" she was facing me now and I knew she wanted a real answer "I don't know Lace, but I guess that's kinda the point, to find out" I let out another sigh and we returned to sitting in silence.

It was finally time to get going so we loaded up the car and headed out, I let Lacey have the aux cord because I figured it would be the last time for a while. We stopped and got Ross then continued to the airport. 

When we got there Ross carried Lacey's luggage and we walked her to the gate, "bye Lace, I'll miss you" I said hugging her "bye Nyomi, promise to call everyday?" she said tearing up "of course, be good for dad" I told her kissing her on the cheek. An announcement came on saying Lacey's flight was now boarding , she waved bye to us and walked towards her flight. Ross put his arm around me and I leaned into him, "wanna grab breakfast?" he asked "yeah let's go" I sighed, we went to a diner near the airport. He asked me if I wanted to hang out later and I agreed, being near him made me feel better.
