TadaXD You get a special chapter, it is Reese's POV. The next few chapters will have Reese's POV in it. I normally don't change POV's but I figured this time it was needed. And sorry for the shortness. Band exhausts me. And this chapter is dedicated to xforeverx because I promised her something special in this chapter but I just didn't have any idea what to put so... anyways... here ya' go!!

Reese's POV

I never thought a sunset could have been so beautiful or perfect. I never thought that holding a girl in my arms would feel so right either, but it did. With Alison in my arms everything finally felt perfect; it was like she was my soul mate.

Once the sun disappeared behind the trees, Alison and I climbed down from the roof and we bid each other adieu. I didn't want it to end, in fact, I wanted for tonight to continue, behind a locked and closed door. I sighed before going back over to my house, where the just so amazing family dinner was waiting- sarcasm must be noted.

I walked in and slammed a door. My mother shouted from the kitchen, "Reese James Young, do NOT slam my door again." I groaned before walking into the living room and plopping down on the couch across from my older brother. "Sup bro." I glared at him. Why did I have to be so moody late, I swear sometimes I was worse then a pms-ing girl.

"Dang, did your chew toy get tired of you?" That was it, I was tired of his crap. He was always like this when he came to visit. So what if he was only two years older, he acted like he was holier than thou. I stood and crossed the living room and glared down at him. "Shut the fuck up."

My brother chuckled and stood up. He was just two inches taller then me. I was already a whole whopping six feet two inches. "What are you going to do little brother? You always lose against me."

I shoved him hard in the chest and fell backwards onto the chair. "Don't ever talk about Alison like that again." My voice came out cold and menacing. My brother stood up and started charging at me but in the blink of an eye my sister stepped between us and placed one hand on each of our chests. "Boys please, can we have one family dinner without you two going at each other's throat?" We both grumbled fine and then she turned to me. "And this was exactly why we didn't invite Alison, I wouldn't want y'all at each other's throats like you will do at dinner."

I raised an eyebrow. "He star-"

"Reese, I don't want to hear. I know who started it, I was in the dining room when it started. Ayden, that was really immature, and Alison is more to Reese then some girl." I smirked at my brother and he just rolled his eyes, "Ya, whatever, sure she is... but I hand it to Reese, he finally manages to snag a girl and she is rather cute... and I bet she tastes better than she smells."

Clenching my jaw, I balled my hand into a fist and try my best not to pound in my brother's face.

"Dinner is ready kids," our mother calls out from the dinning room and we tensely walk into the dining room and we all sit down at the table and just stare at each other. Rainie decided to sit next to me so I wouldn't attempt to kill my brother... again. The first time I almost tried killing him didn't work out so well for me. I was grounded for oh, about a year. Max sat next to Reese and across from me while our mother and father sat at the ends of the table.

"Kids," my father began. "I just wanted to thank you for coming to the family dinner. Max, I am glad you could be apart of our first dinner. As you guys all know, I am apart of the council. You also know that there is a VERY high possibility that I could become the next king... it is now down between the McIntire's and us."

I hated this stupid running for the next king. It was stupid. I didn't want to be THE prince, even though technically I was a prince, just not THE prince. I however would never be king because Ayden would get it before me.

"Brenthan, are you listening?" I groaned, of course he would use my birth name and my human name. I hated my birth name, it had no spunk to it. I looked up. I nodded and shrugged. "Sure."

"Brenthan Foruth Youngblood, you will be respectful towards your father," my mother snapped at me using my full name. It made me groan more. She knows how my birth name irks me, she called me that for that purpose.

"Sorry," I muttered and my brother was sitting across the table snickering. "Boys, that is enough, we are trying to have a serious conversation," my father raised his voice and we shrank back into the seat.

My father was normally away on "business" trips, but surprisingly he had been home for the last past week and not worrying about any of the council duties. My father cleared his throat before continuing, "Now as I was saying, we are holding a ball tomorrow night and you are all expected to have a date. Your dates will be here at noon tomorrow. Boys your tuxes are in your bedrooms."

I looked at my father stunned. "Are you saying that I cannot go with Alison." I tried keeping my voice as calm as possible but I could tell it didn't turn out well.

"I am sorry son, she isn't like us. She is only a human..."

Suddenly my appetite was gone. I was no longer hungry so I just stared down at my plate. How could I not go with Alison? How was I supposed to go with some obsessing bimbo? This was not even going right.

"But father?!"

"But father nothing, rules are rules. A human is not allowed in the halls of the castle. You know that Reese. Ileana will be here tomorrow at noon. You will spend all afternoon getting to know each other and then you will spend all night dancing. Do not disappoint me son."

I got up from the table and didn't even bother looking at the steak that had been sitting front of me. I stormed up into my bedroom and slammed my door, despite my mother's warning.

I walked over to my window and texted Alison, 'Hey, we need to talk, look outside your window.'

Two seconds later she replied, 'Just a sec.'

A few seconds later her purple curtains opened and her face appeared in the window. Her face was filled with emotions. She opened the window and I did the same. "What's the matter," she whispered furiously across the yard. Our windows were separated by a good three feet.

"It is my family... I have to go to some stupid dinner and dance tomorrow for my father's work, and I have to go with some ditz that I probably will hate... don't hate me," I was basically begging her to not be mad at me.

I saw something unrecognizable flash across her face. She was quiet for a few moments before speaking. "It's okay, I know you won't cheat on me."

She whispered, "Well, I hope you wouldn't." If I was a human I wouldn't have heard it. I felt guilty. I don't even know why she would even doubt me. "Sunshine, I am not going to cheat on you, I wouldn't ever."

I saw relief wash over her. She glanced over her shoulder and I listened carefully, "A, you should go to bed... you were looking pale during dinner." I frowned, I don't know why I hadn't noticed it. Well maybe because there was no moon out and her room was dark. "Okay, in a minute. G'night brother."

"G'night sister."

I silently wished my family was like that. I remembered one time when I was younger, maybe 4 or 5, Rainie would come in and tuck me in because our mother never had time to tuck in her youngest child. But when I turned seven Rainie decided that she was to old to tuck me in.

"Sunshine, you should go to bed, I will see you in the morning..."

"Good night Reese."

"Night Allison."
