"Where shall we dig next?"

Katarina had called Anthony and the Englishman together in her tent to discuss the site of their next dig. She had a topography map of the region spread out and had the pictures that Jonathan had left in her possession.

"I think we should dig here," Jonathan said as he pointed a chubby finger at one of the maps. "If you look at the land, you can see where there could be something buried." Jonathan pulled a picture over that showed designs laid into the ground. "This is about 10 miles away from here. I say this would be your next best bet."

Katarina picked up the photo and looked at it closely. Her eyes could barely pick up the raised pattern. It appeared to be a snake or maybe even a spiral. Excitement raced through Katarina as that thought crossed her mind. She shoved the picture under Anthony's nose which made him go cross-eyed. "What pattern do you see when you look at this picture?"

Anthony wrapped warm fingers around Katarina's wrist and pulled her hand back from his nose. His eyes finally focused on the picture. He raised his eyebrows in question as he said, "It looks like a spiral."

"Exactly." Katarina smiled as she took the photo back from Anthony. "We'll go to this site. I'm curious to see if it's a spiral and if there are any stones like the ones here."

"When can we move out?" Edward asked with the air of a person who was tired of being where they were at.

"We can leave in the morning. Jillian's taking over this site so we have nothing more to do here. I've already told the workers to start packing. We still have several hours of daylight left. If we get everything packed tonight except for the tents then we'll be able to leave within an hour of waking up tomorrow."

Katarina turned to look out her tent as she spoke the last few words. She was always ready to move onto the next dig site. The excitement of this site had ended and it was time for more discoveries and excitement to happen at a new dig site. Besides, Katarina really wanted to see if the new site had any similarities with the site they were currently at.

"Betcha I'll get everything of mine packed up first."

Katarina turned back and raised a disbelieving eyebrow at her cousin. "All of your stuff is strung all over the tent. It'll take you longer to gather everything up than it'll take me to pack."

"Ha, you take longer than I do because you have to have everything folded."

"You can get more into a suitcase if you're clothes are folded." Katarina said in defense as she crossed her arms.

"So, you can pack quicker if you don't fold your clothes into nice little bundles."

Katarina snorted before she stuck her hand out. "A hundred dollars says that I'll win."

"You're gonna lose cuz and I'll be a hundred dollars richer." Anthony crowed as he shook hands with Katarina. He cast a look over at Edward and Jonathan. "You two bear witness to this. Kat's a sore loser and will try to wiggle her way out of this bet."
