Katarina sat patiently and waited as Two Moons unwrapped her arm. It had been 6 weeks since she'd broken her arm and Two Moons was finally unwrapping it. Katarina waited and watched him closely as he tended to her arm.
Katarina's eyes were pulled from Two Moons as a man stepped into her field of vision. Katarina turned her head and was frozen as she saw the man. He was tall, with long dark hair, and had green eyes. That was what caught her attention. He was the only person she'd seen so far with green eyes.
His gaze was unnerving as he looked at her. Katarina was so unnerved that she finally had to look away. She took a deep breath and worked on ignoring the man which wasn't easy. She could feel his gaze burning into her and it was enough to make the hair on her arms rise.
"You're arm is healed."
Katarina looked up at Two Moons before she turned her gaze to her arm. The gash on her arm had healed, but it had left a nasty looking scar. Katarina flexed her arm and moved it. It still pained her, but she knew that injuries like these hurt for a long time.
"Thank you," Katarina said softly.
"I can still give you herbs for the pain if you'd like."
Katarina gave him a grateful smile as she slowly stood from where she'd been sitting. "I still have some, but if I need anymore I'll come and ask you."
As Katarina went to walk away Two Moons stopped her with a gently hand. Katarina turned back to him with a raised eyebrow. Two Moons dropped his hand and remained quiet. Katarina waited for him to speak. The man with the intense stare said something to Two Moons. Two Moons looked at him before he spoke.
A shiver raced along Katarina's spine as she heard the man speak. His voice was filled with power and it made her knees go weak. It was the kind of voice that very few men had. The last time Katarina had heard such a voice as his was in college when the star quarterback had girls flocking to him every time he spoke.
"What did you want Two Moons?"
Two Moons turned to look at her. Two Moons spoke in a slow measured voice as if he wasn't quite sure he wanted to speak. "Has Christiana spoken of me?"
A smile broke across Katarina's face at his words. "She has done nothing but talk about you Two Moons."
"Is that good?"
Katarina giggled before she laid a hand on Two Moons shoulder. "It's very good my friend."
A pleased smile broke across Two Moons face. "I do not know what you're people do when they like each other."
"You court each other. Do what you're people do. Wild Flower is very flexible and open to many different things."
Two Moons nodded. "How will we communicate?"
"Well," Kristiana ran a hand through her hair which caused the man with them to stare at her. Kristiana frowned at him before she spoke to Two Moons. "I've been teaching Wild Flower the language we speak. She's still not that great at it, but she's learning."
"Will it be acceptable if you come along with us when we talk?"
"I can do that."
Two Moons nodded. "Please let her know that I wish to speak to her."
Katarina nodded. "Come by the camp sometime tomorrow." Katarina looked at the intense man before she looked back at Two Moons. "Bring him with you too."
"We will be there."
