Katarina was still in shock from Raven's Talon's revelation. She couldn't believe that he was a God or that it was even possible that they even existed. Since Raven's Talon, or should she say Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin, had told them of his true identity things had started to change. He was know speaking in their language and calling them by different names. She wasn't quite sure of what the names meant, but she guessed that they were Atlantean names.
This brought a whole new set of problems to the table. Not only had she found a whole new race that predated Native Americans in America, but she also discovered the people of Atlantis, and discovered that the Gods were real. It was enough to give anyone a headache which Katarina had had for the past two days. The repercussions of what was going to happen scared Katarina.
A sigh escaped Katarina as she let her head thump back against the stone wall behind her. She winced as it made her head hurt worse, but the headache was refusing to go away. Katarina sat with her back braced against the wall with her feet planted on the ground close to her hips and her arms resting on her elbows. She'd found this quiet out of the way spot about twenty years ago. The quiet was a balm to her headache, but it almost made her head hurt worse.
Katarina's eyes drifted closed as her mind began to wonder. Raven's Talon and the man that he'd become, Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin, were as different as night and day. Raven's Talon had been silent and moody. Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin was still silent and a little moody, but he seemed to get along with people better. Katarina guessed it was because he wasn't hiding his true self anymore.
Katarina had liked Raven's Talon. His eyes were what had drawn her to him. They had held secrets and hidden things that she wanted to learn more about. Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin eyes still captivated her and she had to admit to herself that she liked him. He was everything that she'd ever wanted in a guy. The only problem was that he was a God and she was a mortal.
"You are over thinking this Sirhhx Alrandwe of Firdana."
Katarina opened her eyes and peered up at the handsome man that stood before her. Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin still bore the same glowing green eyes he'd had as Raven's Talon, but his hair and skin was no longer dark like they had been. His skin had lightened to a golden color that was a few shades lighter than her own and his hair was now a beauty white gold color. His clothes were no longer those of a Native American, but were spun of some fabric that she did not recognize. It fluttered gracefully every time he moved. He wore some type of long belted tunic like the chiton the Ancient Greeks used to wear. His arms were bare as well as his legs and his feet were encased sandals like the Greeks used to wear also.
"To what are you speaking of Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin?"
He smiled down at her as he squatted down in front of her. Katarina raised her head and gazed at him. Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin reached forward and touched her forehead with the tips of his fingers. Katarina closed her eyes with a sigh as her killer headache faded away. Her eyes opened again as his fingers traced her cheek.
"You are the only one to see me like this since us Gods destroyed Atlantis. I kept the shape you first saw me in so that I could blend in with the ancestors of what was left of the Atlantians. Now that my family is waking up, the people can once more become Atlantians. The city is destroyed yes, but their blood still runs in their veins."
"Will they continue to look and dress like they do?"
Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin shook his head. "They will revert to the way their ancestors used to dress, look like, and speak. They're skin, hair, and eye color will change as well as their dress. They will look more or less like me, but their skin will be darker and their hair won't be as blonde as mine. Only us Gods have hair, skin, and eyes like I do."
"What shall I call you? Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin is such a mouthful. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful name, but was it shortened any?"
Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin laughed. "My formal title is Aihxxych Telondwe of Ularhin, but it was only used during rituals and festivals. I was known by Aihxxych Telondwe and my family just called me Aihxxych. You may know me as such also."
Katarina nodded her head in agreement. "Aihxxych is so much easier to remember and pronounce. What does Sirhhx Alrandwe of Firdana mean?"
Aihxxych sat down so that his back rested against the wall facing her. "Sirhhx Alrandwe means Singing Raven while Firdana stands for the house that you belong to which is the house of the Raven."
"What were you the God of?"
Aihxxych gave her one of his infamous intense stares. "Do you care to guess?"
Katarina narrowed her eyes as she studied him. "I would guess that you could be the God of Sexuality and Love or perhaps the God of Wealth."
Aihxxych chuckled. "I am neither of those. I am the God of War. My name was chanted from the temples during the early days of Atlantis."
"You don't look like a God of War."
"Just wait until you see me in my golden armor."
Katarina's mouth watered as she though of how sexy he'd look in his armor. Aihxxych gave her a knowing look as if he could read her mind. Katarina blushed and self consciously tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. Aihxxych's eyes followed her movements before he stood.
"Come, my family is awakening and I'd like for you to meet them."
"Are you sure?" Katarina asked as he pulled her to her feet.
Aihxxych tossed her a sexy smile over his shoulder. "My family has been waiting for the day that a woman caught my attention. They are going to be very excited about meeting you."
