It's Beth's birthday today, and we have a midterm break. Beth really wanted to take Anne and I to the beach - The one where the secret cave was. Since it was her birthday and we're best friends, we agreed.
At the beach
Anne acted just like on the day I found out she was a witch, but she didn't glance at the cave like she did back then. She was worried that Beth might want to see that place...Good news- Beth prefers to do stuff in the sand. Bad news- We were going rock-climbing at the end. At least I had more time to think of an excuse for not going there - Anne was even too scared to think. My head started hurting from all of this, and then I collapsed.
Vision
I saw darkness, and colourful whirls around me. After spinning constantly in the black background, they finally formed into one piece in front of me. It was a girl with the most beautiful brown hair and blue eyes, dressed in a blinding white dress.
'Veronica,' she called in an angelic voice, 'I have been watching you for a while. I have also seen your future. You must let Beth bring you to your cave. You have to make sure that she finds the entrance and goes in, though you cannot tell her about it - I need to see if she is worthy of...' her voice faded away, as so did her body.Reality
I woke up to see Anne, Beth and Beth's parents gathered around me with worried expressions on their faces. Anne and Beth were calling my name. I felt perfectly fine! Except for that dream... it was a bit disturbing. Never in my life did I have a dream that told me what to do! When Beth's parents saw me open my eyes, they brought me down to the tent.
'Veronica! Thank goodness! You really scared us.' Beth said.
Then I remembered what the girl in my "vision" said.
'I'm fine. But I need to stretch my legs a bit. Could Anne, Beth and I please go rock-climbing now?'
'Are you sure, dear, that you can walk?' Mrs Curtis asked me kindly. I nodded enthusiastically.
