AUTHORS NOTE~ hey guys hears another update hope you like it! BTW I know it's a short chapter but listen to the song during the chapter!
Justin dropped me off on my front porch. After the diner we went over to the lake and stayed there until the sun set. He smiled and looked into my eyes. I looked back into his baby blue eyes and saw love in them. I put my hand on his shoulder and he rested his on my hip.
"I had fun today," he said,
"I did too," I say back with a smile plastered on my face.
"I missed you Alice," he says with sincerity dripping from his voice.
"I didn't go anywhere."
"Yeah, but the silence of you not talking to me for a week was torture," he says slightly leaning in.
"I'm sorry, it was-"
"A hard week, I know, but I'm here for you," he says. "No matter what."
I smiled and leaned in a little closer to him. Our lips mere inches apart. And just when they were about to touch, my patio light flickered on and off about five times. I looked past Justin's shoulder to see my older brother who was a junior in college glaring at us through the window. I giggle and Justin looks back and sees him too. My brother, James, closes the window curtain sharply. We both look back at each other and smile.
Justin leans in and kisses my cheek lightly. My breath catches in throat at his soft lips against my cheek.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" he asks.
"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow," I say. He walks away and goes into his car.
I walk inside and close the door behind me. I lean against it and bite my lip. I think about that almost kiss and smile to myself.
"You should kiss him," my brother says, breaking me out of my Justin trance.
"I was about to but you interrupted us," I say annoyed. James is sitting on the couch watching a football game with a beer in his hand.
"You can kiss anywhere else just don't do it on our front porch," he says ruffling up my hair. I shove his hand away and glare at him.
"You don't even live here anymore," I argue. He rolls his eyes and takes a drink of beer.
"No, but seriously, since when have you guys been all over each other."
"I don't know, I guess I'm just falling for him," I say with a smile.
"As long as you don't get your heart broken," he says. I smile and get up and walk upstairs. I fall on my bed and before i know it, I'm falling asleep to the sound of my brother cheering or yelling downstairs at the TV.
