AUTHORS NOTE- FINALLY!!! An update after how many weeks? So sorry for he long wait. Hopefully you haven't given up on this book just yet! Haha. Hope you enjoy this chapter.

I'm making Justin breakfast in the kitchen. He's still asleep in the other room. Half way through, he walks in, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Good Morning," I say. He sits down at the island in the kitchen and takes a sip of the coffee I just put in front of him.

"Morning," he groans. "Whatcha making?"

"Some hash browns, eggs, and toast," I say putting a plate down in front of him. He immediately digs in while I make up my own plate. I grab some orange juice and sit down next to him. We eat in silence until my parents come downstairs and make themselves a plate as well.

They didn't even blink an eye at Justin. They're so used to him being around that they just don't even bother anymore.

"So, how was homecoming?" My mom said.

"Great! I had lots of fun," I said to her.

"That's it? That's all you can say?"

"Yes mom. It was fun, we danced, we laughed, we took pictures, it was a very memorable night," I said.

"That's a little bit better," she said. Once were done eating, my parents get up and go back upstairs. I take Justin's hand in mine and pull him outside and towards the lake.

We sit there for a while. Probably for about an hour. Justin then says he needs to go home, otherwise his mom would go nuts. So I hug him goodbye.

But for some reason there's this awkwardness between us. It feels, almost, I guess you can say, strained.
