●Prologue●

Riley P.O.V.
I was really about to do this. I had invited them all here so that I could tell them. They all asked why but when I refused to tell and just said that it was important they agreed and came over. I could barely breathe just thinking about how they would react when I told them. My palms were sweating and I was starting to shake.

Maya obviously noticed my strange bahavior because she asked "Riles are you okay? Just tell us what's happening."

"Yeah, what's going on? You know you can tell us anything," Lucas chimed in.

Okay here it goes... "I don't know how else to say this, so I'm just gonna say it... I have lung cancer."

Maya P.O.V.
My best friend just said that she had lung cancer. I tried to speak but no words left my lips. I had no clue what to say. How do you respond to something like that? Instead of fumbling over my words trying to figure out what to say, I just stood up, walked over to her, and squeezed her in a tight embrace as we both cried into each others shoulders.

Lucas P.O.V.
Riley just said she has cancer. Cancer. I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it. I couldn't function, knowing that this beautiful, amazing, funny girl could potentially die so early in her life is scary. And there is nothing I can do about it. I guess the only thing that I can really do is just be there for her. I stood up and walked over to her and Maya and joined their hug.

Farkle P.O.V.
After i saw Lucas stand up and walk over to the girls, I did the same. I was the only one to speak after a while of us just sobbing into each other.

"Riley... you know that whatever you go through I will always be there for you. All of us will."

"I know..." is all she said before we were all sitting in her room just crying our eyes out hoping that our friend would be ok.
