Maya slept over again last night and we are going to school together today. We had no school yesterday due to it being teacher work day. It is currently 6:00 in the morning and we don't have to be awake until around 6:50. And guess what I'm doing. Laying in my bed. Wide awake. I woke up around an hour or so ago and have not been able to fall back asleep. I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping recently since I have been so worried about my cancer.

I was thirsty so I got up to get some water trying not to wake up Maya. When I got to the door I heard the soft voice that belonged to my best friend.

Maya P.O.V.
"Riley?" I said as I woke up just seconds ago realizing that she wasn't in her bed.

"Yeah Maya?"

"What are you doing?"

"Getting some water."

"Oh." There was a long pause. "Okay."

"Go back to sleep Maya"

And with that she went out to get some water. I tried to fall back asleep, but I couldn't if I wasn't right by her side. I know that it sounds kind of weird, but she is my best friend and ever since she told us about her cancer (two days ago) I've been really stressing and I haven't let her out of my sight.

I heard a sound as to what sounded like glass shattering and immediately jumped out of bed to check on Riley.

"Riles" I wisper yelled, trying not to wake anyone up. Who surprising wasn't up already.

"Riley where are you?"

"Ril-" I couldn't finish when I saw her sprawled out on the floor with glass and water around her.

"Oh my god. Riley!" I fully yelled this time.

My first instinct was to check her pulse. Her heart was beating. Thank god.

It wasnt long before Topanga and Corey came out of their  room.

"What happened? Is everyone oka- oh god... Riley!" Topanger yelled when she saw Riley on the floor. "Cory call an ambulance!"

"Calling now!" Cory yelled back.

I cried as I held my best friend in my arms, not caring that I was sitting on glass.

"Maya, what happened?" Topanga asked as she cried as well.

"I don't know! I just came out here and saw her like this!"

Then Auggie came out of his room, more confused then ever.

"What is happening in here?!?"

"Honey just go back in your room! I will be in there in a second!"

"Okay."

The ambulance got there shortly after. I ended up going in the back of the truck with Riley so that she had someone, and Topanga drove behind with Cory and Auggie.

When we got in the hospital they pulled her into a room and said that I couldn't go with her. I went to sit down on one of the seats in the waiting room before shooting straight back up due to a sharp pain in my left thigh.

"Ow!" I yelled causing a nurse to come over to me.

"Ma'am are you okay- oh my god you're bleeding."

"Oh my god am I?"

I looked down to see drops of blood dripping from my leg.

"Yes and there is a price of glass stuck in your leg there. It looks pretty deep. You might need stitches, but I will bring you to a room where they can remove it."

"Thank you. But I have to wait out here for my friend who is in a room right now."

I went to pull the piece of glass out of my leg before wincing in pain and gritting my teeth due to the pain.

"You should really just come with me."

"No! I'm not leaving this spot until my friend come out of that room!" I yelled as I tried to pull the piece out even more which only caused me to bleed even more and be in even more pain than I already was.

"You need to see a doctor!"

"No!" By this time I was sobbing hysterically and felt really lightheaded from all the blood loss.

My vision was blurry and the sound around me was starting to fade away. I saw the nurse run to go get something, before I could see what it was, everything went black.

Sooooooo.... Yeah. That happened.

I decided to do a chapter in Maya's point of view to show how good of a friend she was.
