Maya P.O.V.
I knew that Riley was lying to me about not liking Lucas. Of course I knew. I'm her bestfriend.

I believe that she got over Lucas after the 8th grade, but I knew that she liked him again now.

But this time its different. She doesn't act the same around him. You know, awkward... Maybe she has different feelings this time. I'm gonna invite her over to talk about it.

After last period
The bell just rang and I needed to talk to Riley.

"Riley!" I called out to her after we were both in the hallway.

"Yes Maya?"

"I want to talk to you about... Uhhhh... Things..."

I knew that if I told her it was about Lucas, she wouldn't want to talk.

"Uh... Sure, I guess. Where at?"

"Your house"

"Okay. Now or later?"

"Now is fine."

"Kay, let's go"

Riley's house

Riley P.O.V.
When we got to my house I was still a little confused on why she wanted to talk but it didn't matter much. She is my best friend and I would talk to her about anything.

We sat down at the bay window and started talking.

"So what did you wanna talk about?"

"Uh, you know, just about how you have feelings for Lucas again"

"What? Pssshh, no. What would make you think th- okay fine I may have slight feelings for him..."

"I knew it. But what I don't understand is why you aren't acting all weird around him."

"Well, I don't know what it is exactly that I am feeling, but what I do know is that the feelings I have now are different. Stronger."

"Oh my gosh."

"What?" I asked genuinely confused.

"Riley, I think you love Lucas."

Oh my god. I am so so so so soooo sorry that I haven't posted in forever. To be completely honest... I forgot... Sorry I don't really have any excuses but you know it is what it is...
