(A/N ~ I just realized that I put two chapter 12! Lol so this is chapter 14 since the last one should have been 13...)

I got out of the hospital last week so I only have one more week until I can walk. Everyone has been very helpful with pushing me around in my wheelchair when I can't do it myself.

Mine and Lucas's relationship has done nothing but grow stronger since all of this craziness has started. Prom was in a month and I am just really happy that I won't be in my wheelchair anymore. I am going dress shopping with Maya the day that I can walk. I get out of my wheelchair on Saturday, and its Monday, so I only have five more days left of rolling around. Maya actually got a date to the prom. His name is Brian, and he is somewhat similar to Maya just not as rebellious. He gets good grades but will still agree to break some rules here and there.

After prom, there is only a week until graduation and then we're done with highschool. I'm honestly excited to get out of school. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do love school, but it would be nice to have a break for a while. I've already applied and got accepted into NYU. I didn't really want to go to a big, out of state school. I like staying close to my friends and family. One of the main reasons that I am going to NYU is because of Maya. Since she never tried in school up until last year, no other school would accept her. In fact, the only reason that she got into NYU is because her art teacher pulled some strings. I know it sounds bad, but she lives art so Ms.Summers couldn't see Maya end her art career after highschool.

It's Saturday and I can't wait to be able to walk freely again. I've been walking around the house so that I don't forget how to walk or anything, but other than that, my parents wouldn't let me move without my wheelchair.

We went to the doctors office and they said that I was good to go! I was really excited to go shopping with Maya for our prom dresses. I knew that she would want a way different dress than I would. She is gonna pick one that is brightly colored and I'm just going to choose a more light dress.

Maya picked me up from the hospital and we drove straight to the mall.

"So, does it feel weird being able to walk around again?" She asked as we walked through the mall trying to find a good store to look in.

"Kinda. I mean, its not like I wasn't walking for a year. It was only two weeks."

"I guess so. So, where do you wanna look first?"

"How about Dillard's?"

"Okay, let's go!"

We both decided on choosing four dresses each with matching shoes. We would only get one, of course, but we liked to have a fashion show. We choose our dresses and headed off to the changing rooms. My predictions were, of course, right. Maya had chosen four beautiful dresses of unique colors and I choose four nude dresses for myself.

We came out of the dressing rooms with both of our first dresses, both looking  beautiful. We kept on going and finally decided on which one we would get. My dad had given us money to pay for the dresses, even though it took a lot of convincing to get Maya to take it. She didn't like talking other people's money because she always assumed that they did it or of pity. But my dad just said to that the dresses were gifts for being wonderful daughters and growing up  beautifully.

We paid for the dresses and shoes before leaving and going back home.

"I can't wait for prom. It's gonna be so great" Maya said excitedly while she drove us home.

"Yeah. Can't wait to make some more memories" I said, a big smile on my face.
