A cut across my wrist
A bruise upon my eye
If I stay another minute I don't doubt that I will die
So I break out of my cage
So I run across the dirt
All this effort that I know my life is not really worth
I crave to be at peace
I wish for me to smile
But I know things like that are the wishes of a child
I run from my past
Away from where I started
To a lovely place, an old moon lit garden
The fountains water is red
The flower's beauty is a lie
So I sing to myself so I may feel less dead inside
I've ran away from my mind
Life never once was kind
I can no longer be comforted by a pointless lullaby
So this is how my story ends
No prince in shining armor
I know you're here with me, I know there must be others
So take my hand and come with me
And together we shall go
To a place of beaches in the sun
That only we shall know
