You took advantage of me when I was shy and meek
Taking my anxiety and pretending it was chic
You looked over my body and told me what to edit
You took a beast of insecurity and dutifully fed it
You ignored me when I was hurting, calling me over dramatic
You thought you were a plasma screen, and comparing me to static
But when I finally spoke aloud, you told me to quiet down
Because I'll never compare to you, even if I wore a crown
The moment I stopped eating you started on a rant
Telling me to love myself, but because of you I can't
And when I finally asked for help you called me 'attention seeker'
'Cause the only time one can express emotion is when you're the speaker
