Blinded Love

Love can make you do some of the most outrageous things,

It's crazy how three words can easily trick the mind,

The outside is appealing but the inside is the definition of disgust,

Blinded by love because of the temporary emotions,

You'd do anything to escape loneliness and heartache,

How great you thought they were in the beginning,

Took a turn for the worst emotions are out of order,

Feelings are no longer there as the truth is uncovered,

Loneliness begins to sink back into the heart,

Wishing to turn back the hands of time,

Only if there was some kind of sign before you made the choice,

Consumed in regret of what has happened,

But now you feel trapped fear walking away,

Verbal and physical abuse becomes routine,

Looking for a way out but every exit is locked,

Friends won't help because they never were real,

One day you say enough is enough and walk away,

Months later you've found yourself escaped the terror,

You realize you have greater happiness without a relationship,

Focused on the future with the past behind ,

Miles and miles ahead an abundance of happiness and success,

Forever strong you are and no stumbling block can interfere,

Through trial and error you found yourself.
