Insecurity

She wears makeup to hide all of her flaws

in her mind beauty resides no where in her

foundation, lipstick, and eye shadow is her armor

all she wants is to feel pretty and perfect,

the natural beauty within her is recognized

but she repetitively shuns the idea she is pretty

for she feels nothing but ugliness exists in her

if only her eyes could see how beautiful she is

if only she found a way to embrace her true self.
