She wears makeup to hide all of her flaws
in her mind beauty resides no where in her
foundation, lipstick, and eye shadow is her armor
all she wants is to feel pretty and perfect,
the natural beauty within her is recognized
but she repetitively shuns the idea she is pretty
for she feels nothing but ugliness exists in her
if only her eyes could see how beautiful she is
if only she found a way to embrace her true self.
