Promise to Angel(Part 1)

Violet Morgan's world is never stable. With no mother and an abusive father she has to find a way to keep her two year old daughter; Little Sophia Renee Morgan safe. With a job at granny's and school along with her daughter being watched by the town's bad boy and her baby daddy AJ Jean, Life is truly a mess, It gets worse and worse until there is no more hope... until a hero comes along.

AJ pulls up to Granny's on his motorcycle and parks in right in front. Inside Violet is busy waiting tables and trying to keep her toddler out of her way. AJ causally walk in and Violet shoots him daggers. He is twenty minutes late and she has composition two in ten minutes. Violet is a bright girl, so bright she's is taking duel enrollment which is college classes your eleventh and twelfth grade year, therefore she graduates  high school with a high school diploma and a associates degree.

Taking off her apron and Ruby rushes out to get a take on the crowd, Violet picks up her daughter and hands her to her father. "AJ you're late and I have to go!" AJ looks at her with says "I know I'm sorry but I had some trouble with the boys and--" Violet shakes her head. "Look I know you can never truly give up on being a bad boy but can you please dial it down for our daughter?" He nods slowly and she kisses her daughters cheek and rushes off to school.

AJ sits in the back of the diner and colors with his daughter as he waits for Ruby to take her order. "Daddy? How come mommy always gone?" Sophia asks. AJ smiles and says "Mommy is a very smart girl that did a very bad thing when she met me so now she has to work harder for you." Sophia or as her mommy and daddy call her Renee ask, "what was her bad mis--- mis----" she struggled to say the word mistake and groan in frustration then deciding to say, "choice,"

AJ smiles and whispers "She meet me," happy with her answer she moves her long hair from her right shoulder and continues to color the fishes in her book. Not long the crowd calms down and Ruby comes over to take their order. Once she finished she struts (like always in those short shorts) and gives the slip to the cook.

A group of boys wearing all black walk in giving the place a bad vibe, they are the towns bad boys too the only different between AJ and them is AJ is slowly backing out the game; one of his biggest mistakes yet. "Hey pretty boy," one of them yelled, sending trouble AJ out his daughter under the table with her stuff. "What do you want Kade?" AJ ask in a calm voice. "I want to know why in hell you have refuse to stop buying and dealing."

AJ just shrugged his shoulder, "I have no interest." The men laugh and comically laugh, "So it has nothing to do with that pretty little girl of yours huh? Sophia is it?" AJ jumped up and looked him straight in the eyes. "You leave my daughter out of this!" He boomed. Sophia whimpers quietly and hugs her knees to her chest. The men look at him and pull out their guns. Ruby walk in and sees them, she runs back and calls Regina and Emma who are bringing their partners along with Charming.

"Kade, man you don't want to do this." He reasoned knowing that once he's dead there is no telling what they might do to his daughter. "Yes, yes I do," Click, Boom! One bullet, Boom! Another, Boom! Another... Sophia whimpers loudly and covers her ears. AJ lays on the ground with a bullet to the head, heart and stomach. They men start waking over to Sophia when Regina and Emma burst through door. "What the hell?!" Regina screams and looks upon the boys.

Regina freezes them with magic while Emma goes to get the little girl, the boys hand cuff them and and Ruby comes out with tape in her hands. "Figured you would need evidence," Regina smiles slightly and thanks her. Emma takes the girl the station and gets her name and calls her mother.

In class Violet is presenting her project when her phone rings. "I'm sorry--- my daughter---" she picks up the phone and hears a boys voice say. "Is this Violet Morgan?" Violet says "yes this is her, "on the other like Henry sighs and says "This is Henry Mills the mayor and sheriff's son and there has been a scene. You need to come to the hospital right away." Violet nods feverishly and quickly runs out of class.

At the hospital the doctors are checking out Sophia because her hearing is slowly fading. Due to young age and the closeness of the gun it hurt her ears drums badly. "Sophia can you hear me?" Regina asks, Sophia looks at her with no response and the doctor sighs and finishes writing in the chart. Violet rushes in and sees Henry; a boy she sees a lot at school and rushes up to him. Henry takes her to the room and Violet holds her close as possible kissing her forehead over and over.

"Ms. Morgan I am afraid you daughter is losing her hearing..." Violet looks up in fear. "What-- why?" Regina and Emma have already seen the tape and explain what they saw and heard and once they tell her that AJ is dead she whimpers. Henry walks closer and says "we are so sorry for your loss." She nods and holds Sophia close. "So what about my baby's hearing?" The Doctor says sadly, "we need to keep her overnight and it may come back in the morning but chances aren't that high."

Violet nods and the Doctor walk out leaving three women, a little girl and a man. "Violet we are so sorry..." Violet looks up and gives a sad smile "well that sounds like AJ... doing anything to protect his baby girl." They smile sadly. "I can't pay for these bills and I----" she starts talking panicked and Regina places a hand in her shoulder. "I'll pay for it, no worries." Violet thanks her over and over until she looks at her sleeping daughter.

Regina looks at Henry and takes the little girl from her mom and Regina and Emma hug Violet while she breaks down crying. Henry rocks the little girl and whispers "I'm going to fix your mommy, don't worry one bit Angel..."
